Multidisciplinary Team Approach
The Recovery Village team begins with comprehensive assessments, supports evidence-based interventions and comprehensive discharge planning with the goals of lasting recovery, one step at a time. Our multidisciplinary team approach is key to our foundations.
Affordable luxury and serenity in a location where true recovery is possible. Minutes to Orlando, Florida and set at the entrance to Ocala National Forest.
Family Program
Our family program is an essential part of our treatment approach. Whenever possible, with the consent of the client, it is a requirement of the treatment team to involve the family. Family involvement is important because the client often has plans to return to the family environment, or at other times, the family has experienced in separation due to the destructive nature of substance dependence or eating disorder behaviors. In either case, it is helpful for the family to gain education and support in order to better understand the client’s circumstances.

  • About The Recovery Village

It is the philosophy of The Recovery Village that all individuals with the desire and ability to seek treatment are provided with the highest quality care for very reasonable rates. We have developed a highly credentialed and skilled Multi-disciplinary treatment Team to deliver exceptional quality in client care. We believe that we want our clients to have the opportunity to be treated by credentialed, qualified, skilled staff with many years of experience in the field of substance abuse, mental health, and eating disorders. Through the multidisciplinary team we use best practices as well as holistic approaches to treat our clients. We came together after seeing that our clients with dual diagnosis (substance dependence with eating disorders) were being moved from one facility to another when the disorder that was considered secondary surfaced. At The Recovery Village we treat the whole person.

    Intensive individualized therapy program
Five customized one on one therapy sessions each week. It’s all about you. Getting you healthy quickly is our main priority, a tailored one on one program does just that. Having to wait a week between therapy sessions is now a thing of the past. Our cutting edge rapid recovery approach doesn’t stop there. Additional group therapy sessions provide varied locations to cohesively heal your mind and body. A different location each time, both outdoors and indoors, will stimulate your senses and promote recovery.
    Eating Disorder Treatment
The Recovery Village has treatment services available 24 hours-a-day. Most clients who come into treatment for an eating disorder will need medical assessment and stabilization. The Recovery Village is overseen by Dr. Kevin Wandler, a Board Certified Psychiatrist/eating disorder specialist and addictionologist with nearly 20 years’ experience in treating clients with eating disorders. The Recovery Village is set up to handle complex medical issues that are often seen in eating disorders, such as severe malnutrition, dehydration, laxative/ diuretic dependence and daily bulimic behaviors.
    Dual diagnosis/ Co-occurring disorders treatment
A dual diagnosis – mental illness and substance abuse/eating disorders – requires both therapeutic and medical treatment. Sometimes more than one substance, or multiple mental disorders can apply. Because of the delicate thread that connects the two, both co-occurring disorders must be addressed simultaneously. Those suffering from dual diagnoses require individualized plans that respect the power one illness has over the other. The best detox and rehab facilities for co-occurring disorders recognize that challenge and work assiduously to treat both. With time and application, relief and health are near.
    Acute Medical Detoxification
Prescriptions are a contractual agreement between the client and a medical authority. “As directed” is the contract. By accepting, the client agrees to its terms. The credits don’t transfer. But you’re different. Have you been finessing the substance until you cop a high? Are you convincing yourself that the high is the medicine? Do you really think you know better? The Recovery Village is Florida’s only full service substance abuse, mental health, and eating disorder facility that provides pain-free Detox and treatment in a luxurious setting. We include group therapy and specialized individual therapy programs.

I felt like getting high would improve my party experience, but I ended up being controlled by the drug. Waking up the next day knowing you weren’t yourself last night eats at you. Don’t worry. You can escape the grip of addiction.

If you read this and you think you have a problem, chances are you do. Please do not let your fear and your denial get in the way of your recovery. I did not live to live life without drugs. I lived so that I could help others like myself.
    Hank B. Fairmont, WV
Drugs were only a quick fix for my problems. I didn’t realize it early on, but after receiving help it was very apparent. I am now stronger and I am able to tackle my issues moving forward.
