About
Melanie Petrandis-Farfan has a BA in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and a MS in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University. After completing her undergraduate degree, she interned at drug policy reform organizations in Washington D.C. where she became passionate about issues such as expanding substance abuse treatment over incarceration.
Melanie has worked in the addiction field in various roles, including providing counseling in a methadone clinic and in an outpatient program for women. She has also worked in a community mental health agency where she provided therapy for individuals with substance use disorders and mental illness. Melanie is certified as an addiction professional in Florida and her focus now is on providing quality online content for those seeking substance abuse treatment.
