Philosophy

10 Acre Ranch is a residential men’s addiction treatment center located in beautiful Southern California. As part of our social treatment model, we offer therapeutic group meetings and activities that allow residents to connect with and support one another during the recovery process. As they live together, prepare meals together, and attend support group sessions, clients begin to break the destructive cycle of isolation that develops at the height of addiction.

On August 5, 2018 I woke up sick and tired, defeated and alone. I had an empty handle and 3 empty pints of vodka setting on the night stand. I know I bought the handle of vodka after work the day before (less than 18 hours) I had no memory of driving 3 different times to buy the pint bottles of vodka (I drove in a complete blackout) I crawled around on the floor checking to see if I spilled it. None was spilt, I’d drank over 2 liters of Vodka in under 18 hours. I stumbled outside to check my car to see if there was any damage. No damage. After that I got on the phone and started calling to get help. I called several recovery centers. One place didn’t take my insurance, another said they’d have someone call me back. Scrolling through google I called 10 Acre Ranch someone answered and listen to my pleas for help. Less than an hour there was a knock on the door, it was a staff member from 10 Acre Ranch. He told me to get my dog and asked if I had everything. “Ya!” I didn’t pack anything, just grabbed Sabbath and never looked back. Thank you to the director, his family and his staff of 10 Acre Ranch. Thank you to my family and friends for everything during this journey and more importantly thank you for not holding on to your anger and frustrations with me during that dark time.

What a joke! Just be aware that these are photos of their sober living home and out of their RTC (Residential treatment facility). Complete false advertisement. I showed up and it’s in the ghetto of Riverside. They’re completely understaffed with only one staff member at all times. My family assumed that I was going to an actual 10 acre ranch when in reality it’s a group of duplexes that are run down and unmaintained. I left after one week because a 23-year-old intern started talking to me like I was complete trash. This is one of those buyer beware I can’t believe that my family spent kind of money they did. It was good for me because it gave me a time out. As far as treatment and behavior therapy this place is lost. The food was terrible and they limit your consumption. I saw a doctor one time in the week she comes every Friday. Never met my case manager. As to get cosmetics and toiletries from the store and it took them three days to organize a trip to get toothpaste and a toothbrush. Please don’t be fooled like my family was, take your time and really do research before you send your family member to a treatment facility this place literally pulled us out of $5000 for the week. No treatment no true care a complete farce.

I was at 10 acre ranch for 112 days!! This place will use you and get what they need until they get paid!! Before leaving my home state the admissions daughter promised me that I would not get in trouble for leaving the state I was on probation and in community sentencing. I needed the help was very vulnerable at the time!! Admission daughter told me, promised me that if I got on plane they had lawyers to back me up and that I would be fine!!! They also promised dental insurance which I went to two separate dentist at two separate times and was turned away!!! I did 7 months in prison for leaving my home state!! Do not go here the owners are money hungry and do not care about us as vulnerable addicts!! I put my life in their hands and in turn I lost 7 months of mine!! By the time it's all said and done it will be 13 months that I will NEVER GET BACK!!! Do not go here the whole admissions are cons!!! There are to many reasons to list on here why YOU OR A LOVED ONE should seek other options!!!

I am so happy and thankful that i call 10 Arce for my son. I didn’t know what to expect, they pray with me, said everything is going to be ok, we will get him through this. Sending my son to 10 Arce was the best decision for him. He is with professionals people that care about him and treat him like family while he is in recovery. 10 Arce is a blessing for my family and son.

Beware!!! Not what is advertised. Maybe I was sent to the worst facility of the 4 but the experience was terrible. The only thing that made it a ranch was the dirt. No animals, no pool, understaffed, and incompetent. Of the days I was there I was left on a couch basically the entire time. There was no nutrition plan and the kitchen was stuff with junk food. It does Not have a 4:1 patient:employee ratio. They were more concerned with expanding than taking care of current patients. Beware before you enter.

Excellent
I had the BEST experience at 10 Acre Ranch in Riverside, California! The social atmosphere was instrumental in helping me overcome my addiction and my urges to use again. I really feel they prepared me for life in the outside world with their structured approach for my addiction treatment. It really works if you are willing to change and I am so glad I decided to go.

Carpets are gross, short on staff, don't even do groups with a therapist or counselor.. Had a tech give me meds, just handed me the bottle. I thought the doctor prescribed me new meds. I would not send my loved one here. They just put plates of food in the fridge not covered or anything and tell us we have to eat leftovers as a meal. All they buy is junk food for the house there's no nutrition in the food they buy. I'm more than disgusted.

The 10 Acre Ranch had an Intimate atmosphere with a maximum of 7 people. At the ranch you work as a team while cooking for each other and going on hikes. Their nutritional meal plan is also a great benefit. If you're looking for a men only rehab center in the Southern California area I would highly recommend the 10 Acre Ranch. There's no stress or pressure and you just get to focus on recovery.

Great
I brought my son came to 10 Acres after hearing about this place from a friend, and it was the best decision I\'ve made for bringing my so back into my life. He is clean and free of heroin usage after over 12 years. I\'m so grateful to the staff at The Ranch for helping him get thru the difficulties and overcoming the challenges facing the newly rehabbed. The Ranch was also instrumental in working with my particular finances to help keep my son there to continue his road in recovery. Bless you all at 10 Acre Ranch, my son is once again a healthy, happy person! You helped bring him back into our family and we will forever be grateful!! Thank you!! 😊😍
