Scott A. Lovelace
MEd, LCMHC/ Clinical Director

Scott has had the opportunity to work in a variety of clients across the country and the world. He has been a clinical director, a primary therapist, volunteer, equine assisted psychotherapist, and business owner in the field of counseling. Over the course of his 14-year career, he has had the opportunity to assist children, adolescents, families and military service members with overcoming challenges associated with substance abuse, sexual abuse, anxiety disorders, depression, communication difficulties, learning challenges and conflict resolution. Through his life experiences, Scott has been able to become more understanding of the need for strong family support as well as the need for building relationships in order to heal. Life experiences have taught him that compassion and kindness are important motivating attributes. Scott firmly believes that through small means, great changes can be brought about, especially with the right support system. Scott has shown that he can effectively work with families, often connecting with them through discussion of his time playing football in college, working out with professional football teams, and playing semi-professional football during graduate school. His love of sport has also contributed to his desire and understanding that working with a team is a much better approach to working through challenges, as opposed to trying to accomplish everything simply as an individual. Outside of his professional career, Scott and his lovely wife Valeria have three children who keep them busy with school, dance, art and myriad other activity. Scott can also be found wearing a kilt on the field of the Highland Games as the Chief Judge for Utah Heavy Athletics or preparing to compete in the Games in the weight room. His family loves being back in Utah, where a variety of options are available for family activities.

I am so proud to be a part of such an amazing facility and team. Not only are the staff very knowledgeable about treating addiction, but we care and empathize with the struggling addict, as well. Coming from someone who has struggled with addiction for years, I have confidence when I say that everything about Ardú- from the facility, to the staff, and to all the innovative sciences and groups designed to help with detox and educate the struggling addict and show them a new way of life- is geared up to help any addict in need. -Marissa

A doctor took my brother in as a patient after he was released from the hospital from a suicide attempt. He was detoxing from heroin. The hospital was going to release my brother on his own with a few numbers of doctors who would treat him using Suboxen. What a messed up system! People leaving the hospital who are on drugs or alcohol need to be sent to a rehab center, not to a doctor who will just treat the symptoms! Thank goodness for Ardu Recovery Center. They saved my brothers life and his marriage. I highly recommend Ardu to anyone struggling with an addiction. My brother is a new man thanks to the love and care that he received! God bless the doctors, nurses, and staff for what you are doing... saving lives! Sincerely, A very grateful sister! -Carrie Xenos

Ardu Recovery Center is like a family. The people working there really care about the clients and their recovery. Ardu isn't centered around a certain type of program. They offer all different recovery programs, so that clients are able to find what works for them. If your serious about recovery and want to change Ardu Recovery Center can help. -Lyndsey Martindale

I just want to take time to say what Ardu has done for me. I went through both the detox facility and the residential treatment program and I can't stress enough how great of a program Ardu is providing. The staff there truly cares and goes above and beyond to take care of each and every patient. The facility is so clean and comfortable! The kitchen staff kills it each and every day! I've never eaten so well! Ardu gave me a chance at life, and it was the start of my journey to recovery. For that I can't thank them enough. From the bottom of my heart, I think each and everyone of you guys over at Ardu. Thank you for caring. Thank you for being real. Thank you for giving me a chance to succeed. I love you all. -Drose Hulett
