Excellent
My brother has been in and out of places like this for his bipolarism and alcoholism. This one was excellent as they've all been. Ability to get my brother back on his meds and the counseling they provided. This was in 2015 and so far he's been fine.

It has been almost 4 years since I was admitted to an aurora facility. I was 16 years old and had some of the most neglectful treatment I could have imagined from a health facility... my initial 3 day stay turned into 8 days because the doctor couldn\'t be bothered to actually see me. I could never in good conscience recommend admitting your child or any loved one to an aurora facility.

warehouse for psychiatric patients this facility should be closed down in my opinion. patients were treated like prisoners in having to walk one by one in line, therapy seemed to be non-existent, the assigned doctor was very rude and abrupt and the facility was dirty, especially the dining room had paint and tiles falling off the ceiling.

HELL HOLE!! NEVER STAY HERE OR USE THIS PLACE. FRAUD IS RAMPANT AND STAFF USES FEAR TO INTIMIDATE PATIENTS. ALL STAFF WOULD HAVE MADE PERFECT GESTAPO AGENTS & CONCENTRATION GUARDS. INTIMIDATION IS THEIR MOTTO AND DO SO EVERY TIME THEY SEE A PATIENT. Suicide attempt caused from medication landed me in this HELL HOLE. The staff, who took care of the \"inmates\" really wanted and worked at scaring me. How this place survives I have no idea. Men staff members came into my room during the night, when asleep, and rattled lots of bottles that were on a cart. I awoke and was too afraid to open my eyes. They have a huge listing of their daily \"classes.\" About 30 classes each day. TOTAL BULLSHIT!! IT WAS ONE HUGE LIE! I attended one class and this is what occurred - I kid you not: Man came in, sits down and takes out deck of cards. We are to each take a card and read what the card says: Mine said, \"What is your favorite TV show?\" I replied and that was it for this SO-CALLED CLASS. One big, fat, black staff member, always wore red shirt, looked across the table from me and said, \"You know...I can have you sent to the State Mental Hospital for the rest of your life and no one will know where you are.\' AURORA KNOWS TO ONLY KEEP PATIENTS FOR 7 DAYS BECAUSE AFTER 7 DAYS THE STATE STARTS TO INVESTIGATE. WOULD LIKE THIS PLACE TO BURN TO THE GROUND - EVEN MORE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS.

Horrible. My loved one went in for therapy and was pressured into staying. These people prey on vulnerable youth who don\'t know they have a right to speak up. They only seem interested in the money.

This place is horrible. I went to aurora to find out about what counseling or group therapy they may have and was questioned into staying. This is a horrible place that loves money. Go to see about what counseling they may have and prepare to be punished!

My brother was taken in by this facility in Glendale, forcibly, after having a Schizophrenic breakdown in another treatment center. The nurses were very kind, and from what he claimed, everyone was very kind and supportive, except one substitute doctor. However, nothing the Doctor or Case Manager claimed they would did they ever complete. They did not submit an SMI evaluation. They did not adequately help us find a next transitional step before releasing him. In fact, they simply offered to take him into their PHP program and provided a list of halfway houses, many of which were actually drug houses. In fact, they gave me less than 24 hours notice that he would be discharged, and offered to take him to a homeless shelter if I did not come to get him then. If I did not live somewhat near Phoenix (I live in Tucson), he would have likely ended up in a worse and much more dangerous state than before.

Was forced to spend one week here. The \"large staff men\" were always trying to intimidate me. Had to change bedroom 4 times for absolutley no reason but to confuse me. It worked. I never knew where I was. I was afraid for my life. In the middle of the night twice a man came in with a cart and shook it so it would make lost of noise and wake me up. I was terrified and kept my eyes shut. The last breakfast this very obese black man, in red shirt, looked at me and said, \"I can have you put away into the state institution and no one will ever see you again.\". Aurora\'s in patient has a large weekly calendar of \"classes\" that we can attend. When I was there this Activity Sheet was yellow and was up at the nurses station. Gee..what a surprise...I couldn\'t have a copy. HERE IS THE SECRET: MOST CLASSES NEVER OCCURRED. THE SCHEDULE IS TO APPEASE THE PATIENT\'S FAMILY. 90% of the activities never occurred. That would mean that these lazy employees would actually have to do some work. The schedule is for the patient\'s family so they think their loved one will be occupied. Once I sat in on a \"class.\". A man passed around a deck of cards - we each took one card and were instructed to turn the card over and read what it said. My card: \"What is your favorite TV program?\" That is all this \"CLASS was - a bunch of bullshit to waste our time. And the moronic guards loved to loiter and threaten me with evil looks. These employees would have loved the Holocaust and to work in a concentration camp. There they could degrade anybody they wanted, instill terror with a waive of their gun, let loose the vicious German Shepherds to shred them to pieces, or better yet...send anyone to the gas chambers. The employees at Aurora certainly would have believed in Hitler\'s \"MASTER RACE.\" Aurora \"guards\" would have hated Jews and would have delighted to send them to the gas chambers to their deaths. Oh...if only you assholes could be there...wouldn\'t that be fun torturing anyone you wanted??? Ah...that wonderful stench of burning bodies in the crematoriums. Aurora NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN AND I AM JUST THE PERSON TO BEGIN THAT PROCESS. I HAVE MANY FRIENDS IN HIGH, HIGH PLACES. Aurora should be closed. It has nothing to offer but INTIMIDATION. The employees seem extremely ignorant about behavioral health care. Since all they want to do is make one feel extremely frightened that\'s about all they are good for. Bunch of sorry ass mentally challenged CNA\'S?? I doubt any of the \"guards\" even went to school for two years to get a lowly CNA certificate. THEY ARE JUST TOO STUPID! I just read this sentence: \"We reserve the right to remove reviews and comments which are considered abusive or believed to be fradulent.\" EVERYTHING I WROTE IS TRUE. I CAN GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL REMOVE MY REVIEW. I ONLY WISH IT WAS FRADULENT. IT IS 100% TRUE...SAD BUT TRUE. DON\'T EVER STAY HERE BECAUSE YOUR LIFE WILL BE IN JEAPORDY.

This place is HORRIBLE!!!! I took my 18 year old there for therapy...they admitted her for a stay. They placed her in with women and MEN who were disruptive...she is 18 but still in high school and a child! She also has crhons and is on a special diet and they are not adhering to her special diet so all she has eaten is bread for 3 days. She signed an AMA to be released. She calls me constantly crying and sobbing. How is this suppose to help her depression???? Her anxiety??? HORRIBLE!
