Devlac in Bowling Green Ohio is a bleak facility that is anything but warm, welcoming, or particularly helpful to guide to a better life. I realize many of the client have hit bottom to be there, but by their own admission their success rate is quite low. The website says 70% but one of the counselors indicated to me it was half that. She was anything but pleasant in her behavior with the clients.

Strengths: Friendly, organized, well trained professionals. Weaknesses: The Food. They treat the whole body, not just one specific problem.

Devlac had a surprisingly (for this region) diverse and well balanced curriculum. I had experience with another rehab to which I could compare Devlac, and later realized that Devlac, while not terribly well funded, does a lot with what it has. The staff were all very encouraging and well trained groups were led in a professional and well paced manner which allowed for greater acclimation by clients.

Great
Strengths: Zero Tolerance for things that might distract one from healthy recovery. Education, and participation. Staff. Weaknesses: Need more funding to further improve the facility...and to give the staff and clients more options in their everyday routine. Get outside of facility more. More regular individual counseling sessions. Im very glad i chose to go and so grateful for Devlac Hall. As you can imagine, it's difficult to adjust to any treatment program at first, but its so worth it!! You learn to take it (life) a day at a time, and learn a ton about yourself. You leave so empowered and proud of yourself that you stuck with it and most importantly, grew through it!! Recovery is a journey and if you really want it, they give you the tools and skills you need to have it! You CAN enjoy a life in recovery! Give yourself a chance... :) miracles don't usually happen overnight but they do happen, believe me.

This facility is wonderful. Very family and kid oriented. They focus on the real problems of addiction as they know addiction is a symptom. They do not medicate, they teach coping skills and tools. They providing transportation to meetings and babysitting my granddaughter so that I could visit my daughter while she was at [treatment facility].
