At Belmont Behavioral Hospital, each patient will work with a team of professionals who are dedicated to providing the highest quality treatment possible. We are proud to offer the following levels of care; Inpatient treatment, Partial Hospitalization services (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient services (IOP). Each level of care supplies treatment for a variety of mental health conditions and substance abuse concerns.

Facility Highlights

  • 23-Hour Beds
  • 24/7 Triage and Evaluation Services

Specialization

  • Eating Disorder Treatment
Many mental health professionals view eating disorders (including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder, along with other dysfunctional eating patterns) as a food addiction – in that food is used in ways other than as fuel or a source of pleasure. Some, but not all, addiction treatment programs include eating disorder treatment as part of the service menu. Also, an eating disorder may be a dual-diagnosis or a co-occurring disorder with drug or alcohol addiction.
  • Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT):
Also called “shock therapy,” electroconvulsive therapy uses electricity applied to the brain to bring about a seizure that, research shows, can be helpful in overcoming debilitating, treatment-resistant depression.

Do not send your child here. Can never get through when you call to speak to your child, phones just ring ring ring. No notifications for change of medication or physical fights/restraints. Staff are rude and always aggravated. I do not recommend this hospital

My 11 yr old daughter went here in Oct 2019. Only place that had an open bed within 2 hrs of home. She was admitted at 10 pm and didn't get food or drink until lunch the next day. Admitting process at night is abysmal. Daughter called me the next day traumatized and fearful, begging me to get her out of there - serious fights breaking out all the time among patients with little staff intervention. Other patients had threatened her. Staff rude and ignore patients, heard calling patients curse words, and using racial slurs. Daughter never did get a pillow for her bed despite asking several times. Place is dirty, toilets didn't flush. Daughter there 3 horrible days, didn't get toothpaste or soap or shampoo, just toothbrush. Had to rinse off for shower. I tried to remove her against medical advice but they wouldn't allow me to, she had to be referred and transferred to another facility which we thankfully found after some time. Husband called with a question and was treated very poorly on the phone and basically dismissed and hung up on. I would never recommend this place to anyone, even my worst enemy. It is the worst enviornment for a traumatized or psychologically unstable child. Will make them worse.

I am severely depressed and went to BELMONT for TMS . The procedure is administered by a technician. She was unpleasant, not respectful to me and her need for power and control superseded EVERYTHING . She was always on the defensive with me, for some odd reason since I never provoked it. I really needed this treatment, but she made it impossible for me to work with her. Sadly, despite desperately needing the help that TMS would potentially offer me, I was not willing to pay to be disrespected and condescending to with a rude tone.

Staff was rude, good was cold and not good. Only a few staff cared. A staff was amazing took time to know patients and really cared. Also the dude from therapy that played games with us.
