Steve Eickelberg, MD, is the Betty Ford Center Medical Director, specializing in addiction-related psychiatric and psychotherapy services. He most recently led a private practice in Paradise Valley, AZ, serving individuals, couples, families and family businesses, health professionals, airline pilots and professional athletes. He earned his medical degree at the University of Oregon and interned in surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He also held residencies at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center.More
Mark Baumgartner, MEd, LPC, LCDC, has over 25 years of clinical experience, including 14 years in a leadership capacity, Mark Baumgartner brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to his role as the Senior Director of Clinical Services for the Betty Ford Center. Mark’s work spans the entire addiction treatment continuum for all ages. He has worked as a counselor, caseworker, therapist, youth specialist, director of inpatient services, and, most recently, director of the new Betty Ford Center outpatient clinic in West Los Angeles. In his current role, he oversees clinical services for both the outpatient clinic and the Betty Ford Center’s flagship inpatient treatment hospital in Rancho Mirage. Mark was instrumental in developing the Young Adult Recovery Program at the Betty Ford Center and has provided key leadership in developing other clinical products, designing and implementing treatment and documentation standards, and providing clinical training. In addition to his 14 years of experience with the Betty Ford Center, Mark has worked in a variety of other addiction treatment, mental health and corrections settings in Texas and Arizona. Mark holds a Master of Education degree in Counseling from Stephen F. Austin (Tex.) State University. He has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1996 and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor since 1991.More
