I truly feel sorry for any kid who is forced into this joke of a program. I was the only girl for the first two weeks of my "treatment" compared to 15 boys, so I was isolated in a hallway due to a "no interaction" rule between boys and girls, and when I left they still only had 4 girls to 25 boys which was just unsafe considering the lack of staff they had. I was harassed before breakfast for almost 2 months. The tech staff was the only thing that got me through the 53 days I spent there. My counselor was a very unprofessional, cruel woman who threatened me with being "lucky" to be 18 or else she would have to call DCS on me because I told her my mom was a recovering alcoholic who moderately drank. Just feel like this facility was a big group home, and hurt my mental state much more than it helped. If you're seriously wanting to get your child help, invest and send them somewhere that can actually address their issues and show them the care they need, because my mom owes 6 grand for a place that I caught head lice at and spent most of my "recovery" in a hallway.
