With the goal of ending the cycle of poverty and homelessness, Cityteam - Portland provides male clients individual support, recovery-based classes and opportunities for community involvement. A faith-based, short-term recovery program involves group Bible reading sessions integrated with 12-step meetings.
The needs of our community are unique as we face alarming rates of unemployment, homelessness and people dying from the epidemic of drugs and alcohol. The numbers of high school dropouts and victims of human trafficking are also unacceptably high. To add to these challenges, recent cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (often referred to as food stamps) have put the elderly and the unemployed at risk of hunger. The goal to help everyone in need in our community might sound like an impossible task but that is what God has called us to do, at Cityteam, and nothing is impossible with Him. We have been blessed to witness countless lives changed.More
For those seeking addiction treatment for themselves or a loved one, the DrugAbuse.com helpline is a private and convenient solution.
Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by American Addiction Centers (AAC).
We are standing by 24/7 to discuss your treatment options. Our representatives work solely for AAC and will discuss whether an AAC facility may be an option for you.
Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. Neither DrugAbuse.com nor AAC receives any commission or other fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor may ultimately choose.
For more information on AAC’s commitment to ethical marketing and treatment practices, or to learn more about how to select a treatment provider, visit our About AAC page.
