Philosophy

Cold Creek Behavioral Health is a nationally accredited, non 12-step drug and alcohol addiction treatment program. We offer a full range of the most successful evidence-based therapies. Cold Creek’s treatment programs are based on the Bio-Psycho-Social and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment models that are recognized by Columbia University and the National Institute on Drug Abuse. These models view addiction as a disease while taking into consideration that there are Biological, Psychological, and Sociological factors to consider when treating addiction. We offer dual diagnosis treatment, which means we treat addiction and mental health issues at the same time and in the same setting. All of our limited enrollment programs offer individual treatment where only 8-10 clients are treated at a time. This ensures clients receive the individual counseling, and personal attention in a beautiful setting that balances healing and recovery.

It made my experience not only educational, but I felt connected and more enthusiastic about my treatment. Thank You for everything to all the Cold Creek Staff. You are an amazing team doing so much good in the lives of those you treat!"
  • "My overall experience was more than I had anticipated. I really felt as though the staff cared about me. This was the first time I was able to get a handle on my medication. Fit2Recover and Equine Therapy were my favorite. Thank you for the positive launch to my recovery."
  • "This was my 3rd treatment program, and by far the best. I was not a number, being one of only 10 clients I received the therapy I needed. This was the firs time I had not slid through treatment going unnoticed. Thank you and will recommend this treatment center to people that are in need."
  • "Thanks for the second chance, I am the happiest I have ever been. Even thought I did not take my treatment serious the first time, you took me back and treated me like with such compassion and understanding that with your help and therapy I am clean, sober and have so much hope for my future."
  • "Treatment was top notch. My experience was great, as I learned much about myself and what I need to do to stay sober and have a productive life."

Excellent
I was a client at Cold Creek Wellness Center in Kaysville. This was my 8th rehab. This was the only time I have really been treated with respect, not talked down too, etc..My therapist, he was awesome. I was only one of 8 clients and the two weekly individual counseling sessions were huge for me working on my trauma and sorting out all of my cognitive distortions. The Family program helped me start to fix my relationship with my parents. I met with the Advanced Practice Nurse weekly and the medical doctor about every other week. I met withs Cold Creek's Psychiatric APRN several times. He got my medications adjusted really well. Great food, fun activities, I went river rafting and rock climbing and hiking. I came here mostly ready to work and they took me the rest of the way.

Spent 4 days. Never saw a doctor as promised. Had to sleep in my clothes the first night. Therapy consisted of drumming, going to AA meetings. Cold Creek will not refund my money...it's been over 6 weeks. They want the money immediately, but won't return it. Not as represented during tour.

Excellent
In and out of court-appointed treatment centers --- iop, pobation etc. Overdosed in the fall on 2009 and went directly from icu to Coldcreek\'s inpatient treatment center in Kaysville and I\'ve been clean ever since. It was challenging and a lot of work but the environment felt very caring and adept. I think the family sessions were the most valuable, my mom is very loving but was also very codependent and she learned some very valuable tools. Excellent family care program. I felt some of the counselors may have been a bit stubborn in their assessment of me which was frustrating, In hindsight, still very valuable in helping me process my feelings. Coldcreek employs multiple therapies all of which were valuable. Equine was especially helpful in teaching me about patience and teamwork. You get out the work you put in to it. All the counselors and will provide guidance and tools but the real work is up to the clients. All in all, Coldcreek is an excellent program and I recommend it to anyone struggling with addiction,

Great staff, No Support after released-too religiously based. Some support groups were sponsored by the predominate religion. Like all rehabs-it's very expensive. Great staff, but support after is very poor

Very stuctured. Limited enrollment. Only about 10 live in patients at a time. Sober living apartments for after care. Strict, but affordable for those really motivated to stay clean.
