At the Residential level of care, clients live on-site with 24-hour support and supervision. With 6 clients per home, Evolve is able to instill strength in our teens through physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Evolve's treatment focuses on adolescent Substance Abuse, Mental Health, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Asperger’s, ODD, ADHD and OCD. Through DBT, we teach the skills to regulate emotions and improve impulse control. Our evidence based treatment includes dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavioral analysis (ABA), 12-step support and family therapy. Clients receive regular individual sessions with their licensed primary therapist, psychiatric evaluations and psychological testing, if needed. We maintain a setting that provides a sense of security, while simultaneously providing a nurturing environment that includes comfortable living quarters, school area, fully equipped gym, swimming pool, chef, ample grounds, basketball, tennis and/or volleyball courts, ping-pong and more.
Alyson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with close to a decade of clinical experience in a variety of settings, including residential treatment, private practice, and community-based mental health. She’s trained in multiple evidenced-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. She’s worked extensively in residential treatment, both in administrative and clinical roles, and has come to specialize in the treatment of co-occurring disorders. As the Clinical Program Director at Evolve’s Tarzana location, Alyson oversees all clinical and administrative aspects of the program, supervises the MFT and ASW interns on staff, and runs several DBT groups. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, Netflix marathons, trying new restaurants with her husband, and taking walks with her dog, Sloopy.More
Gena is a licensed vocational nurse with over a decade of experience working with adolescents. She began as a counselor to adolescents on probation, in foster care, or affected by childhood abuse and trauma. She’s worked in group homes such as Harbor View Medical Center and Starview Behavioral Center, and served for years as a psychiatric nurse for dual-diagnosis teens at the Center for Discovery. She’s passionate and committed to helping at-risk youth work through their challenges and achieve success.More
