Strengths: staff experience, ability to enforce rules, enforcing AA compliance. in detox the beds are hard as rocks, the sheet and blanket were like a 90 year old hanky and was forced to use the same bedding for ten days. pillow was about 2 inches think and hard as a rock. it truly felt like prison. the food was leftovers from the larger facility and sat around all afternoon, I saw it sitting outside at the larger "in-house facility" for hours with flies on it. The food was so bad i couldnt eat it. AA steps and entertainment meetings were forced down our throat regardless of religious preferences. staff would come into our rooms and go through our personal belongings and in the middle of the night they would come in and look around and even rippied the covers off of me once. it was the worst experience i've ever had.

Willingness to confront hard issues and to make an effort to get to the underlying issues. Not enough financial support, limited resources. Made it easy for loved ones to participate, help, and adequately learn how to best deal with and interact with the party suffering from addiction.

I was not completely please with their 12-step program and the effectiveness of the treatment. However, most of the aspects of the facility were great.

It was nice that children could live with you at the facility. However, my friend didn't last a week on the streets after a 90 day program at inpatients. I'm not amused.

They were lacking in organization and amount of staff, but they had a good program. They had some educated counselors.

It seams like the staff chooses how well you are treated based upon how much they like you. They need better staff.

Patients did all grounds maintenance and housekeeping. ... Focus on recovery difficult. The medical staff was unsympathetic and rude. It had corrections facility style therapy.

The best part about the whole experience was it gave me the tools for right now. I was not ready to get sober at that time. When I finally was, I knew where to go - AA. I just wished I could have grasped the whole AA thing without rehab. Because if you can get it without rehab, there is no need for rehab. Because eventually your main daily sobriety maintenance all comes from the tenants of AA. However, the facility was not clean and the cost is more now for less services, but this program relies highly on Federal and state money. Since Obamacare has passed this facility could have had an influx of cash to improve everything.

My sister went there and she did not quit, she still uses. But I think you have to be willing to go and change only you can do that they do have the tools and they are shown how to use them. It is up to you to do so. As they say it will work if you work it. Take one day at a time! Counselors are nice and understanding, meetings are good. This is a very old building, needs to be updated.

No medical doctor on staff to help deal with problems, felt as if my daughter didn't get the best treatment, needs security on staff for constant fighting. Boys and girls need to be separated. It seemed to have a lot of organized meetings while my daughter was staying there. Cleanliness was quite poor and they didn't treat my daughter with different issues she was dealing with. The program needs to be longer depending on needs of each person. They also had no individual counseling.

They have the facility to close to known drug areas... There was unprofessionalism with the director busting in a counseling session. In addition to not having the clients treatment plan done in a timely manner.
