All rehabs are basically the same. They stick a bunch of addicts in a building and expose them to 12 Step programs. Roughly 2% will get and stay clean. Little Creek's success rate isn't any higher than the average. You can get the same treatment for much less at other places.

Little Creek stands out as one of the best facilities I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I know much of the staff and alumni personally and graduates of this program leave equipped with the tools to live a happy and sober life. I work in the treatment field and have seen very few facilities that quite match the care that Little Creek provides.

I am endlessly grateful for Little Creek Lodge utilizing traditional and modern methods in treating addiction. Unlike many other facilities and programs out there Little Creek offers a diverse variety of modalities to heal the whole human being. Little Creek recognizes the importance of teaching residence how to address physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues with new tools. Residents are introduced to and encouraged to engage in personal exploration through the twelve steps, meditation, artistic and muscial expression, yoga, nutitional education, workouts with a personal trainer, one on one and group counseling, vocational assistance, time in nature kayaking, hiking, climbing biking and so much more. Little Creek helps residents learn new ways to cope with difficult emotions, new ways to relate to themselves and others. As addiction claims more and more lives each year it is a tremendous comfort knowing the professional, compassionate, experienced staff at Little Creek Lodge are working around the clock to assist residents and their families to not only survive this devasting epidemic but to heal, succeed and thrive. I can not possibly express the full magnitude of my appreciation to Barb,Andy and all the Little Creek staff for providing such a safe, supportive environment to grow learn and heal. I highly recommend Little Creek Lodge for their attention to detail in helping us not only learn to live in soberity but also how to sustain it through healthy relationships and newly discovered ways to enjoy life

I have had quite a few friends attend LCL and I can honestly say that it saved their lives. Some of them were pretty far down a destructive path and going to LCL was their last hope. I’m forever grateful for the knowledge and dedication of the staff. Their compassion to help people is very evident. Thank you LCL for all that you do!

Little Creek Lodge changed the trajectory of my life! The LCL staff provided the perfect place and program to facilitate the transition from primary care to early recovery without which I would have had little chance of success. The Lodge taught me crucial life skills and responsibilities and helped me reconnect with lost hobbies and interests while building a strong local community of young men in recovery with whom I was able to learn and share he journey. I will be forever grateful for the efforts, compassion, and love of everyone at the lodge and in my 6 years since Little Creek I rely often on what I learned and gained during that critical time.

Great place to stay sober because the residents are keep very active, but zero transition support thus the reason for the high relapse rate. Kind staff, but often just graduates of the place and still in early recovery themselves. Inexperienced staff can do damage to future sobriety goals of residence.

Well who else would comment except employees and former residents? Claiming a 70% success rate does seem suspicious. If that is true than Little Creek would be the most successful treatment facility on Earth as no other facility could truthfully claim such a success rate.

Yes, whom ever posted that comment about Little Creek must be a real coward who hides behind a computer when doing his dirty work. I bet he some kind of a dry drunk who never even bothered to apologize and offer to make it up to Little Creek. I bet he has a small penis and is still a virgin who lives with his parents.

It\'s OK. All rehabs are essentially the same. They push 12 step programs which are free. Plenty of people recover without going to rehabs while other go to rehab 10 times or more and never get sober. The food and living accommodations are good. However, those types of things don\'t increase a persons chance of recovery. Recovery is what a patient does after they leave treatment. A person can do just fine in a rehab and fall off the wagon as soon as they leave. Little Creek is essentially a halfway house with some added perks like field trips. However, field trips don\'t help a person recovery. Only God can do that and a person needs to make the decision to turn their will over to God.

Funny how the negative reviews are written by a disgruntled employee (recently fired I\'m sure) and former clients posting.

Little Creek certainly isn\'t what they claim it is. The food is good and living accommodations are good but overall the place isn\'t anything special. They claim to have a gym and recording studio which they do but they aren\'t any better than what the average person has in their basement. Overall the treatment isn\'t any better than what is provided by most facilities. Basically they higher people in recovery who are members of AA. 12 step programs are free and many people in AA can do what the staff at Little Creek does for free. They try to claim they have a 70% success rate but that is not true at all. They just claim that hoping people will send their kids to a recovery houses in Scranton. Scranton is a run down town and is actually ridiculed within the recovering community for having such poor meetings. Owning the lodge is just a way for him to satisfy his ego because it gives him the ability to play God and micromanage the lives of the clients. That happens to a lot of recovered addicts who work in the addiction treatment field. They replace their addiction to drugs with things like money and power. He is also a cheap skate who cuts corners by employing young, inexperienced, and unqualified people. They are typically former residents. He does that so he can underpay them and continue to micromanage their lives. He is a really sick person once you get to know him. I wouldn\'t spend the money to go there. I myself am a recovered addict and went to a less costly rehab that had much better counselors. It didn\'t have some of the whistles and bells that Little Creek has but that stuff isn\'t important when it comes to helping people get clean and stay clean.

There isn\'t anything special about Little Creek. It isn\'t a bad place but certainly nothing special. The living accommodations are good. The food is great. Chef Bob is a good guy. However, the place is more like a country club for rich kids. The quality of the treatment isn\'t anything special as most of the staff is comprised of young inexperienced former residents. They aren\'t bad kids just inexperienced. The owner likes to higher them because he can under pay them. The owner seems to think too highly of himself and his operation. He was a quasi successful drummer who played for C and C Music Factory. He wasn\'t anything special as he seems to believe. They try to tell people that 70% of the residents who stay in the area after leaving the lodge stay sober but that isn\'t true at all. That is just something they tell people because they want them to move into one of their recovery houses in Scranton so they can continue to make money off of them. The place is designed to make money and nothing else. The owner just gets some cheap thrill out of controlling clients and playing God. Personally I think the place is starting to have financial problems. The place has been at half residency for awhile now. They recently opened up admissions for individuals who have public funding so I assume targeting rich kids wasn\'t so lucrative after all.
