Detox is often the first level of a treatment plan. This period of no drug use is important for the patient to reach a stable state of mind and body to begin addiction treatment. Our clinical staff will guide and support the patient throughout the entire process.
During residential treatment patients live onsite in housing with access to care from clinical staff 24/7. Patients have a full schedule of individual and group therapies according to their unique treatment plan, preparing them for life in recovery.
To transition from residential treatment to life in recovery, patients go through a progression of care until reaching IOP. Patients will receive ongoing care at the Palm Desert IOP while living in sober housing to adjust to every day life after treatment.

She has two decades of experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders, eating disorders, and process addictions. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina and her master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University, Danielle dove headlong into the field that most captured her heart: addiction. She leads the Hilton Head team on the cutting-edge of behavioral health, establishing the facility as a pioneer in the field of substance abuse.More
For those seeking addiction treatment for themselves or a loved one, the DrugAbuse.com helpline is a private and convenient solution.
Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by American Addiction Centers (AAC).
We are standing by 24/7 to discuss your treatment options. Our representatives work solely for AAC and will discuss whether an AAC facility may be an option for you.
Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. Neither DrugAbuse.com nor AAC receives any commission or other fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor may ultimately choose.
