It was free, accepts state funding. Detox was very unsafe, dirty, no supervision I almost died at this faciity's detox level. There were street drugs snuck into the facility & no supervision. I was taken ton ER by the facility's van for hypotensive episode; no ambulance called & then left at the hospital with no ride home, incoherent

My sister was able to stay clean there and a couple months after. Like all rehabs they tend to be expensive and someone on drugs cannot afford them so their loved ones are the ones who end up paying for it. It was a decent place but really need to work on the long run!

I got clean by the Grace of God. Then went back to Lubbock & went to prison. Used the tools from rehab to get through it & came out & stayed clean.

People on meth, crack and heroin need more treatment than just 14 days. The program is not long enough

My child ran away from this facility and this was due to lack of supervision. She was a minor and this place did not want to accept responsibility. This was a minor in their care. My child went from their facility all the way across the state. I had to get many agencies involved to locate my child. They took hours and days before getting me in contact with other parties and blamed it on hippo privacy. I had told them before hand I suspected she was going to run. They knew she was an elopement risk. However, it was awesome that it was a completely all female facility.

The structure was great. However, some counselors were not good and they needed more meetings and prayer.

I just didn't like how things were handled; there were no activities to do, the counselors weren't there most of the time, and the way the staff handled people with attitudes was unreal, I'll never go back there again...The food was bad, we had to clean the dinning room after every body left and had a short time to do that. ... and they had bed bugs.

It was at the time exactly what I needed. Not what I might have wanted, but it definitely made an impact on my brain... The rules and guidelines were very beneficial; however, the food was bad.

Keep doing what you've been doing and you will keep getting what you've been getting. Are you sick and tired enough to make a change? I did relapse after a month. My aftercare is outpatient treatment for life.

Strengths of the facility are: the continued support to the women who receive treatment for addiction, through long term followup, IOP, SOP, aftercare, and supportive services for long term sobriety. However, square footage and need for another dormitory to house more women for care are downfalls. I love Nexus, this is the only facility for WOMEN to begin their road to recovery. The care and concern taken by the staff and volunteers is commendable. The fact that Nexus allows a woman to bring her small children to treatment with her is awesome. Just that option helps eliminate the mothers resistance to come to treatment. Nexus also treats adolescent girls. An awesome place to recover and work.
