I'm alive today because of the wonderful staff at the quapaw house. If someone gave this place a bad rating it's because they weren't ready or their loved one wasn't ready to be clean. This place is amazing and if you are truly, TRULY! ready to change this is the place to be. If you don't change your life with what they give you then it's a YOU thing not a Quapaw house thing. You simply haven't surrendered nor accepted. Btfac. Get it on your mind. I love you world! Make this your opportunity.

I was in the adolescent section at 14-15 years old. SOME of the people there genuinely cared. Its been about 5 years now since i was there the methods they use didnt really help me. I relapsed several times. Im proud to say though ive been clean a long time. God grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change courage to change the things i can and the wisdom to know the difference.

This place is so unorganized! Most the people who work there are a joke with the exception or Lance, Derrik, and Greg. Come to find out the meanest counselor there relapsed herself about 6months ago! She has no respect for anyone...Ms. Edith! Carlos the CST even picked up a female client "to take her to the bus stop" in the middle of the night only to have his wife come there to treatment looking for him. They try to add days for clients for more $. They treat adult clients like they're 10 years old and with NO respect....other than the 3 I named. The 3 I named are good people. Some male CSTs come into female bedrooms with no warning while we were changing and when one saw a female clients breasts he didn't even apologize! He actually smiled and said "you shouldn't be changing in your rooms" and walked out....very unprofessional and not something a grown man should do. They only allow so much toilet paper a day for females and when we were accused of going through "to much" it was announced in front of the male clients as well for embarrassment. Women pee, poop, have periods, and cry!....we need more toilet paper than KEVIN thinks we need! We are not treated like a client or even like a RECOVERING addict....we were treated like addicts who were scum and never going to change. Like I said Lance, Derrik, and Greg were the only ones with hearts and gabe us hope. I believe they see the injustice there and I hope they go on to bigger and better things because they....themselves deserve to be affiliated with a place better to work for. But right now those 3 are the ONLY ones holding the place together. Counselor Riley who is interning doesn't fight for her clients. She does the BARE MINIMUM. She told 2 clients who had no good place to go home to because of family on drugs that were begging for a place at Chem Free Transitional Housing in Hot Springs to go home that they had no room for the 2 clients just a couple days before their time was up after being told the whole time they would be able to go to Chem Free! This place is SAD and a JOKE! The state needs better treatment facilities. Oh and they "allow" tylenol or ibuprofen every 8hrs instead of 4-6 like recommended for clients there. You gotta think that a lot of these clients are withdrawing or have bad teeth or get normal headaches or stiff, sore backs & necks from sitting all day long in the horrid chairs they have. All done!

Was living in there Halfway and I relapse and went to Quapaw and Got told I would be able to go back when i got done with the program and when it got time for me to go i was not ready and i had insurance so i paid for my 30 days and I ask them could they let me stay and they told me no and they waited 2 days before i got out to tell me that i could not go back and they lied to me and the people there r all lies they dont care about you they just want your money. They will act like they care about you but behind your back they talk about you , I would never go back to Quapaw if i was still using, I went to Tennessee to get help and I am Clean and sober today. SO DON"T GO HERE GO SOME WHERE ELSE IN ARKANSAS or OUT OF STATE TREATMENT!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is corrupt. Please think twice before you go here. Waste of time. I would also recommend not taking anything of value.

My Dad was in rehab at Quawpaw and it was a very good experience. The staff was amazing and went out of their way to accommodate my Dad\'s meal requests. I was exceptionally impressed when leaving Dads room one evening when I saw one of the nurses quietly observing a patient from across the hall...she whispered at me, \"I\'m just making sure that she is breathing ok. I worry about her\"....I hope I have people like this watching out over me when I am in that state...God Bless her...

Comfortable, clean, and safe Living arrangement was a strength. Counselor and staff do not care. 14 days of a 28 day inpatient programs is not long enough for serious substance abuse. No mentality health was offered. Counsellors and staff talk down to patients.

I really can't say because it seemed my loved ones particular case was a bit unique Perhaps an overall lack of coordination If persons are serious and committed to such a change then the programs can work and I strongly recommend upon discharge immediately living in chem-free housing for some time regardless of personal addiction. My loved one has been clean and sober for over a year and a half now

Had workers that had been in recovery for a long period of time before they could work there, which was a strength of the facility. However, there were to many rules that didn't make sense. Have a more positive atmosphere. Or made u feel more like home instead of a facility.

They did not help my son at all. No one helped. They just gave him a bed to sleep it off. He needed more help than sleep. In fact, he still needs help and I can't find anyone to help me in this state. They just want to forget these people. They did not help at all.

I felt safe and that my counselors genuinely cared about me and believed in what they were doing. Also I liked periodically my spouse and I had counseling together...as well as one on one for each of us.
