Recovery Centers of America’s main concern is patient safety, whether from their addiction, or COVID-19. RCA has implemented new policies and procedures due to COVID-19 regarding pre-screening, medical clearances and limiting exposure to those who are not RCA staff or patients. That said, addiction is a deadly disease and it is important to seek medical help. RCA continues to admit new patients 24/7. RCA knows how difficult it can be for individuals struggling with addiction to get help, which is why we provide 24/7 admissions, interventions, and transportation at no additional cost. RCA is in network with most major insurers, making treatment affordable. We are located right in your neighborhood which makes family involvement and aftercare convenient. Don’t wait. Call 443-282-1197 today and change your life. Our addiction treatment philosophy centers around offering evidence-based, individualized treatment solutions for individuals and families struggling with drug and alcohol addiction as well as co-occurring disorders. Specialization

  • Detox
Though not all rehab facilities offer “medical detoxification,” all people with an addiction to drugs or alcohol will experience intense physical and emotional changes and discomfort as their bodies react to withdrawal of the addictive substance. Many people use the term “detox” to refer to the period of time (ranging from a few days to a week) when the body is reacting to an addict’s decision to stop using.
  • Individual Therapy
This term describes one-on-one therapy, in which a patient and trained counselor, social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist meets privately with a patient to discuss challenges related to lifestyle, work, family and romantic relationships that may have contributed to the development of an addiction.
  • Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.
  • Holistic Therapy
Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
  • Relapse Prevention
The path to recovery is unique to each person struggling with addiction. For some people it takes multiple attempts at recovery, and with each passing attempt they may feel less optimistic about their future. At Recovery Centers of America, we see each attempt at recovery as a sign of commitment and hope. This specialized program uses a therapeutic, evidence-based approach designed to help those for whom recovery has been elusive. PRISE (Promoting Recovery through Intensive Support and Education) focuses patients on their recovery, rather than addiction, and focuses on a bright future.

ABOUT RECOVERY CENTERS OF AMERICA AT BRACEBRIDGE HALL

Located in the community of Earleville, Md., in the Chesapeake Bay Area, Recovery Centers of America at Bracebridge Hall provides an upscale residential program for adults struggling with chemical dependency, as well as individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders. Medical detoxification is available if needed, making this facility one of just 14 rehabs in Maryland (3.6 percent of all rehabs in the state) to offer detox in a residential setting.

Bracebridge Hall is one of five residential programs operated by Recovery Centers of America (RCA). RCA operates a total of eight rehab facilities across New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, some of which also offer outpatient services.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

Upon admission, clients participate in an initial biopsychosocial assessment to help clinicians form a highly individualized treatment program. Bracebridge Hall's treatment curriculum blends evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-step participation, and holistic methods.

According to RCA's website, its residential treatment programs last up to 28 days. A 2017 SAMHSA survey indicates that 6.2 percent of rehabs in Maryland offer short-term (30 days or less) residential programs.

Much of the treatment is rooted in the 12 Steps. During treatment, clients are fully immersed into the peer-led fellowship. Clients attend on-site meetings, study fellowship literature (Big Book), perform associated “step-work,” and attend workshops that help guide residents through the 12-step process.

Along with an introduction to and participation in the 12 Steps, core programming includes a schedule of one-on-one therapy sessions, group counseling, and educational classes concerning improving coping skills, relapse prevention, and developing communication skills. Loved ones are also invited to participate in family and/or couples counseling sessions.

Holistic treatment methods include mindful meditation, creative arts therapy, psychodrama, adventure and experiential therapies, canine therapy, and spiritual counseling sessions. Before discharge, case managers form comprehensive discharge plans to provide guidance and support for community re-entry. Bracebridge Hall also facilitates an active alumni program.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

Bracebridge Hall employs a multidisciplinary team comprised of physicians, psychiatrists, substance misuse and mental health counselors, nurses, case managers, an on-site chef, and a support team.

I can not thank select staff enough for their continued support and never giving up on me. Two staff members were key players during my stay at BBH. I can't leave it at that...The RSS have also been helpful, the food is top notch, the facility is beautiful and clean. The nurses are always on point and I continue to grow emotionally, spiritually and physically every day.
