It's pretty bad with how much they charge your insurance that you are feed so poorly. You get mostly sandwiches. Also when you are at IOP and your at the IOP building They feed you really bad. I remember one time they fed us peanut butter/jelly sandwiches and Cole slaw, that's nasty! Also there is no way to exercise like the web site states. If you have problems and need someone to talk to they treat you like children. You do not get family visits uess they are with a Therapist and your phone calls are put on speaker phone and monitored so you cant tell someone to come get you.

Do not take anyone you care about here. The state should look into this facility. Tried for two days to get answers about some questionable things that went on while a family member was there. I was assured I would get a call back for two days and kept getting the run around. I have worked in a recovery center in the past and this is not a place you want to leave someone you care about

This is the worst treatment center I have ever been to.Recovery Works was very under staffed and unorganized. Female residents in building two were left alone at night with no RA on property. They were very few meetings and much less on the weekends. IOP was a joke cold lunches and very little food for the houses no vegetables at all. IOP meeting from 8 to 4 or when ever they choice to pick you up, was useless and very little meeting after noon there. Outside AA meeting were good but clients were not made to go into meetings. Church was the best part of the whole treatment program! Thank you,

I spent 26 days at recovery works. The majority of that time was spent at the hospital next door. I had a serious medical emergency but because I was a drug addict the nurses, staff and the doctor did not believe that I was ill. I ended up having two surgeries on my kidneys and my uretuer. It was extremely painful. I was discharged from the hospital back to recovery works a week and a half later they "graduated" me from the program . I went to a sober living house and relapsed the same day. For almost 7 more months I got back in my addiction. I am proud to say I have been clean for 2 years as of January 14 2018 thanks to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ and the methadone clinic I'm currently a patient of. They saved my life. Recovery works did not care if I was there or not or if I was getting clean or not they wanted the money from my insurance. Other patients were having drugs brought there by friends and breaking all kinds of "rules". All you think about is how to get out because your in the middle of nowhere and how you can get money so you can relapse. It's not the place to go if you are truly trying to change your life. There are a few staff that do care and want to help but the majority are just there for a pay check and enjoy telling people what to do and when to do it.

I have went to this recovery works several times. Not because they wasn’t a good place but because of my own selfishness I didn’t want to take into consideration what they said was needed of me to stay sober and change my like. This place gave me a foundation to start my life of recovery. Some stuff are nice but some staff are a little more harsh only because the sickness we suffer from is NO JOKE! It’s something that should be takin serious. Rehab is not a vacation! You need to sit down shut up and listen for once in your life cause you just might die. And they teach you this. That’s probably when anyone who gave it a negative review did so. Although I didn’t stay sober when I left it was not because of the place it was because of my self. I was not ready. But I am over a year sober today and this place is what gave me my foundation to build something amazing. If you are ready to get serious ! Come here if not I’ll pray for you good luck. They are always open with welcome arms and they tell you some real shit maybe one day you can look back like I have and say that place has had a huge impact on my life. P.s. ANY REHAB YOU GO TO WILL HAVE BOYS AND GIRLS THAT ARE SEEKING VALIDATION! It’s not just this place. Some are sicker then others. This is a wonderful facility!!! Thank you

Go anywhere else but here. Staff treats you like a piece of garbage. If you want to leave they make you feel horrible about it and then they don’t let you use the phone to call for a ride or let you get your belongings. The “music therapy” is listening to songs off the staffs phone. This place is a joke.

12 step based. Was told I'm a future heroin addict by counselors. I've had zero desire to use opiates. The man who runs the place was a victim of Fort Hood and wants to speak to women who have had tragedy occur to them but has zero empathy. Counselor claimed she wanted to open a halfway house but shared her story of being raped and said "It was my fault, I didn't have my phone." Very much a victim blamer.

I checked myself in as I was coming off Rx\'s. I had gotten myself down to 2 medications that where also cut in half. I was treated as if I were Court Oreldered to be there!! The night nurse was Fantastic and that\'s the only thing good I can say about the place.... The sleeping arrangements for the men and women are in the same buildings. Everyone sits on the furniture watching TV wrapped around each other. Not comfortable at all. I left the 3rd day. After receiving my belongings in large plastic garbage bags, I was not aloud to use their phone to call a cab to get home. Nor call my husband. The entire Staff treated me like I was a piece of crud!!! Even the supposed Councelor & the director of the facility!!!! If you or a loved one needs a caring place to get clean and sober, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! Please find another facility. Also, I was there for 3 days. They charged my insurance for 4 days. I had money on my account & I have yet to receive a check in the mail. This place is a horrible Joke. Worst experience in my life when I needed loving, caring help. I am home & detoxed myself the rest of the way with my loving, caring husband. I gave it one star because of the Night Nurse from up North & the cleaning lady who was super sweet. AGAIN, PLEASE CHOOSE A DIFFERENT FACILITY FOR YOURSELF OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE AND WANT TO GET BETTER!!

As far as rehabilitation centers this one was one of the nicest. The staff helped me more than I can express. They teach from experience and know what they\'re talking about. It\'s up to the clients to listen and learn from what they\'ve got to say. The only bad thing I can say is they need more individual therapy. Other than that I loved my experience there.

No psychiatric treatment and staff just wanted to talk about problems, not offer solutions and attempt to get patient involved. ... I continue to advocate for my son, although the system makes it extremely difficult to get him help.

My son stayed there twice and relapsed, yet again. There isn't any after care follow up. The therapist only met for "Family Therapy" once, instead of once a week. The therapist that we did see had made negative comments to my son, implying that I was the one with the issues that caused his alcoholism. This was validated during our one session. There is absolutely no consistency with the rules and policies. They vary depending on what staff member you ask. No dual diagnosis was available and we all know that in most cases there is a dual diagnosis, so this program is putting a band aid on the problem. Personally, I feel that it's a "let's get em in and out" program, for the money. I think the basics are there, but there has to be many changes in order for this to be effective and to save the lives of so many that desperately need it.

The wonderful staff at RW Elizabethtown saved my life. They pulled me out of a pit of despair of my own making, and changed my life in a million wonderful ways. The level of concern and care that they provided me was incredible! I have all the tools to lead a very spiritual, clean and sober life until the day I die because of these wonderful people!
