The staff admitted me into the program aware that my AFIB could kick in during the detox process. They also knew that I was taking medication (Sotalol) to regulate my heart beat. After 1 night, not even 24 hours in the facility, the staff came into the room and said I needed to go to the VA hospital because they didn't have proper equipment or staff to handle my condition if it did kick in. They also said I would get a full refund. They drove me to the VA hospital and dropped me off. 2 weeks later I called to ask where my refund was. They stated they would only refund 65% and sent a check. Another words be aware that this company can admit you then take your money after kicking you out.

Extremely disappointed and feel I need to let others know that the detox part of their program is terrible. Basic information that is common knowledge was not followed. Detox from the prescribed drug my son-in-law was taking takes more than a week. The center told us he was free from drugs in his pee test so he was ready to go. This was the worst thing they could have done. I was then promised a partial rebate since he wasn't there for 7 days. I received nothing back. In addition, they promised he could come back on scholarship for the second part of treatment, now they are saying I get no rebate. It isn't just the money! My son-in-law deserved quality care. Instead they did nothing but provide over the counter meds and did nothing for him. Don't go there for detox! They don't know what they are doing and please pass this on to others so they don't have the problems we did.

After sending a client to this centers detox in Lacey Washington the Clinical Director refused to allow him to speak to us and after the client and his Counselor set up transport back to outpatient the Director refused to tell him the driver arrived...Despite leaving a complaint message no one called to address this incident.

Royal used to be a place where the staff actually cared and it wasn't about your money or insurance. Now not so much. Their halfway house will not allow you to stay unless enrolled in IOP ...If you relapse while at their halfway you will be sent to their detox then their treatment center for 2 weeks. Oh good news if your from boston though the manager will allow you to run rampant bc he is also from boston. Truly appalling how bad its gotten at their facilities... their staff is usually undertrained and unequipped. It was a lot better when the old manager was in charge in florida but heck even he couldn't stop it all. I only write this review in hopes the Treatment Task Force will take notice and do something to stop them! Moral of the story DO NOT send your loved ones anywhere near Royal

i feel 6;30 curfew for rent is a bit unfair we are taught not to isolate but if we are unable to afford rent we are forced too.. other than that i loved the program and would recommend it to friends and family. Oh and i love one of the female staff members in particular

I\'ve been to too many treatment centers and they\'re all the same, they want money and beds filled. Royal was nothing like those places. Accommodations were very nice and clean, staff was helpful and knowledgable, but most of al they care. My therapist stayed in close contact with my family and updated them regularly. Staff was always willing to help as long as you followed rules (very basic, don\'t act out). Everyone kew my name and story and genuinely wanted to help. When I couldn\'t afford aftercare they scholarshiped me because they knew how badly I wanted it. Three years later my life looks completely different, I can never repay royal for everything they\'ve done for me and my family.

What kind of facility would call a loved ones family during the middle of the night, not leave a message and then not have any sort of emergency or after hours phone numbers. Being told to wait until 8AM to talk to someone seems like a lifetime when you do not know what happeded or is happening to your child. EXTREMELY POOR!

I am going to give a full review of my experience at every phase since I went through the whole program. 1. I got in touch with very pushy marketing people who lied to me about what it would be like and they paid for my airfare. 2. Detox was horrible. The place is in the middle of nowhere. Bugs everywhere. The staff had no clue who the clients were. It was pretty much if you can survive 3 days, you move on to the next level. 3. The treatment center was horrible. I read reviews online. Apparently it was owned by a family before and was a special place. A man (google him) bought it and its ran like a recovery factory now. I couldnt wait to leave. 4. Sober living. They pushed this \"royal recovery\" on me. They had people come from there to talk to us and sell us on the idea for after discharge. The place is a zoo. 6 people to a house. 900 a month. you have to see the doctor just once. its a requirement. I guess so he can evaluate you and sign off on your UA paperwork. Not to mention the owner guy owns the lab and owns the company who makes the cups. To sum it up, if you want to get treated like crud and need to complete a program to satisfy a court order or something, its great. If you want a life, dont do. The staff there talked about the owner guy like he was a monster. No staff member liked their job. Maybe thats why they dont care about the clients.

They want nothing but your money. They keep very strict rules in order for you to see its effective treatment. Once you get there you pay $900 a month and live with 6 people. 3 bedroom apartment, 2 to each room. Each person paying 900$ It\'s like living in a frat house trailer park. Do not send your loved ones here. I had to write this to save anyone thinking about going to this place. It was the worst experience of my recovery time. So many places that are half the cost and actually give you help and support.

A New Day is an excellent facility. The environment, staff and other clients helped to make it a very positive experience. I left with all the tools I needed to get clean, unfortunately, I was not ready at the time. Activities were structured and helped to reintroduce the addict to day to day life. I have been clean eleven months.

Poor quality of care. many unreturned phone calls. No real individual contact.Talk to therapist and they had to read their notes it seemed like to know who i was talking about. After her first 30 days they told us about this'great' 1/2 way house called Royal Recovery which i found out later they own she was thrown into a facility where there was no support staff, there were employees but they were mostly very young and didn't really associate with the mature woman if you were part of the A crowd the rules didn't apply to u and if you weren't you were bsicly ignored.
