We partner with the individual to begin a transformational journey from hope to healing and beyond.
William D Stanley, born and raised in Baltimore, MD, attended UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical school. Later, he did his internship and residency at Albert Einstein Med Center in Philadelphia. Initially, he practiced primary care for many years but due to the influence of many people—in particular, Dr. Lou Baxter—his eyes gravitated to the world of substance abuse. Dr. Stanley became certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine in 2000. He initially focused on outpatient treatment of opioid dependence with Suboxone and, more recently, Vivitrol. He was invited to join the family of Summit Behavioral Health in 2013 part-time and started full-time as the medical director of their detox in December 2014.More
For those seeking addiction treatment for themselves or a loved one, the DrugAbuse.com helpline is a private and convenient solution.
Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by American Addiction Centers (AAC).
We are standing by 24/7 to discuss your treatment options. Our representatives work solely for AAC and will discuss whether an AAC facility may be an option for you.
Our helpline is offered at no cost to you and with no obligation to enter into treatment. Neither DrugAbuse.com nor AAC receives any commission or other fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a visitor may ultimately choose.
For more information on AAC’s commitment to ethical marketing and treatment practices, or to learn more about how to select a treatment provider, visit our About AAC page.
