We believe that time and distance are crucial in very early recovery. The longer time is given and the further away the addict is from their last use, the greater the chances of a long term and successful sobriety. We at SOAR are merely the interim between treatment and the real world. Offering those still struggling, a safe haven and a drug free environment where abstinence is practiced, basic life skills are taught and unconditional support is provided.

Meet The Staff

Marie Paz Hildebrand
Founder and Director

Marie P. Hildebrand, is no stranger to the battles of addiction and the chain reaction it causes (if not dealt with promptly) to everyone the addict comes in contact with. She knows full well, the chaos and destruction that it leaves behind in its wake. Not only has she experienced firsthand, the dysfunction and turmoil of living with an active addict, the exposure to it was what gave her the determination and passion to help those who truly want and desperately need a change (whether they know and admit it or not). She has almost 25 years as a grateful member of the 12 Step program; owner and business partner (along with her husband of 27 years) of a successful, Maryland based company dedicated to recovering addicts and alcoholics with the same concepts as Sisters Of Amazing Recoveries; worked as it’s Women’s Director for six years prior to moving to Nevada; and many, many years of experience dealing with addict behaviors (whether sober or not). She is also a Certified Yoga Instructor for 12 years, facilitates a yearly women’s retreat in Tahoe, and a Certified Life Coach for 8 years. All of which have and can assist in moving forward.
