Specialization

  • Medical Detoxification
Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
  • Outpatient
Outpatient treatment describes all addiction treatment that is not residential. Patients live at home while undergoing rehab.

Lock down. I’ve been to 32 treatments. This place is the worst. Communication is a joke. The food is good. Hard workers in the kitchen. 5 days to get a phone number off my phone. Nail clippers took 9 days. I hesitated to leave this review worried that it may close down with people needing help. I’m hesitant to go on. Was there when the virus was an issue. No mask. New clients were checked for fever only. Close quarters with no social distances. Unfortunately there are few places that take Medicare.

I spent 28 days at the DSRC facility in Deland, twice. The RAs were very understanding and fair, despite being underappreciated and overworked. The counselors were even more overworked and almost impossible to get a meeting with, but were also compassionate to clients. The food was excellent, the facility was clean and comfortable. “Doc” was amazing, I’ve never met anyone with such passion and dedication, the man has a heart of gold and deserves praise for his efforts. I would recommend this facility to those that are open minded and willing to accept change in their lives, this place without a doubt changed my life.

This program is great. You have to want it and I did. The facility was very nice and it is truly like a home away from home. There is also special groups like kick boxing, yoga both with meditation at the end of both also Art therapy. All of the staff there were awesome. I could not say anything bad. Thanks to the experience I had I’m on my way to working my recovery and living a wonderful life sober

I went to the DELAND, FL DSRC 3 times all in 2016... SAVED MY LIFE 2 YEARS AGO AND COUNTLESS OTHERS...! I went to DSRC 3 times at Darryl Strawberry Recovery (It was me who didn't accept their help the first 2 times there, staff was great, why I went back for my 3rd visit). Dr.y looked past all my bs and tough guy "I don't need help" attitude. He didn't treat me like a junkie just filling a bed. He showed kindness, empathy, love, and respect. No judgement for a single second. He got down deep into my soul and had to build me back up. Doing exactly what doctors told me to do is why I was addicted to painkillers. I trusted "medical professionals" and it almost cost me my life. So trusting another doctor was very hard for me and that's why it took me 3 stents at a treatment center. He never gave up on me and welcomed me back anew everytime always saying that I'm growing and maturing. HE SAVED MY LIFE AND I LOVE THIS MAN. If you have read this far, knows somebody who not only struggles with addiction but mental health as well, please do anything/everything to seek out help for them. There is no do overs when your dead, so do what you can for a loved one.

I just want to say I'm very well known there at Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center and I can tell you this several times that I have been there it didn't matter what time of the day night anytime I was always able to find NRA or even the director and other employees to ask a question or Etc if you're serious about the program and you're serious about recovery they have several classes and all the employees do is push everyone to go to every single class they go door-to-door to get people to go to every class and if you really sit there and comprehend and you want this you get great information from every group and I also thought the food was great in the snacks were just fine most treatment centers don't even allow coffee work blessed to even have that there and that's pretty much how I feel about it
