This place really thought me how to be a man again brought god back into my life and gave me hope to live a better life and make me a better person.. The comroderity there is one of a kind men that become brothers in sobriety.. Even though the food can sometimes be repeditive it is tolerable.. The director's methods are unique and different but effective.. I hate the man in a sense and love him in another.. People that are on probation that are sentenced there from the courts are pretty much dumped there and their fate is left to the director.. This is a 9 month program which I think is over kill but effective.. I owe my lowbrow director he thought me how to live again and be a better person for myself my family, friends and society... The first months are difficult but the longer I was there the more well adjusted .. I became close with the residents there and watched many of them relapse and come back or relapse and die... This place is a good place in most sense but no where is perfect it could use more activitys and more staff all though there are house fathers chosen to help out around the facility they are still only residents that are going threw the same things as everyone else that take hold more responabilitys .. I could really uses gym for the residents to use in their down time..

Separate those you have been in jail from those you have not served time. Those who have been in jail should treated at a different facility with well trained staff.

I would not recommend the west side to anyone as the Manager of the ROCK might be sober but still is not a good person. East side location is run very well as the womens\' facility but stay away from the ROCK

I attended the Ed Keating Center and the entire experience was an absolute nightmare. ... Despite this, and my distaste for the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, which is what the treatment program at this center is based on, I will say that if one is desperate enough to do whatever it takes, this center's no-nonsense-approach to recovery can be helpful. It certainly made me get off my butt and start working to stay in recovery. The place is kept very clean, seeing as how as a resident you will clean your assigned area of the house three times a day. The food is subpar, but you are fed two decent sized meals a day, with pastries and fruit being available for the morning and most of the day. I cannot honestly recommend this facility to anyone...This is only a place to go if you are desperate for a place to "dry out," in my opinion. And in some ways it did help me start my road to recovery and I am thankful for that. ...

This is a sober house. The staff were very accommodating but would not bend the rules for anyone! This, I feel is very important in the success of living a sober life. There was a ceremony during the time he was there for the founder, who died some time ago. The residents did all the work and preparation, including the food. This facility has influenced me enough to seek a LICDC for myself. I am presently a hospice nurse and have been one for 17 years. The whole experience including being involved in AA and AI-anon has changed my life as well!
