At The Gathering Place, women do not have to be separated from their dependent children in order to receive substance abuse treatment. The residential rehab offers a safe and secure setting for recovery and emphasizes the importance of family involvement, 12-Step meetings, solution-focused therapy and strength-based counseling techniques. The community environment is home-like and designed to foster feelings of comfort, safety and hope.

Specialization

  • Residential Treatment
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.
  • Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.

I was excited about coming here but after a week of not passing a drug test I was kicked out. I detoxed and finished my step one, but honestly some users take more than a week to clean out. They aren't very knowledgeable about harder drugs. It's a good place for alcoholism and meth addiction. If you're coming down from heroin or any opiates don't expect help with methadone or Suboxone, they just let you suffer and get told on for needing to lay down during detox or taking showers at undesignated times.
