Specialization

  • Holistic Therapy
Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
  • Residential Treatment
Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.

I would not have the life I have today if I did not have the continous support from the AMAZING, steadfast, and dedicated staff at NWITC. This is a sacred place to me, Its where I began to grow again inside myself. I was mentally dead inside killing myself through addiction, to avoid all the traumas I endured in my life. I had been through 5 treatment centers before I came here and nothing got through to me. I was full of pain and anger over the life I was given, until a wise man asked me a simple question, \" why are you so angry?\"( Mike Tisdale) He had write down every trauma I could ever remember and than read them off to him more tham once. A beautifal lady(Mandy) commented to me on our morning walk one day\" its the secrets that keep us sick.\" This statement is the truth to my journey, If Mike had not asked me that question and walked me through all my traumas, I would not be clean and sober today!!!! Let me be clear it is the NWITC staff collectively who have taken the time and care to help me along my journey. I owe a huge debt of GRADITUDE to Mike and my tropical sister OFI for making time out of their BUSY schedules to help me work through my lifes challenges. I left NWITC 12/28/2011 and I will be celebrating 10 years 11/5/11 and I call or contact at least 1 person a week at NWITC and have throughout my clean time. They are more than just your average rehab center, 43 days i spent there was just the beginning of a life time relationship. Thank you will never be enough for helping achieve the life I live today.

This is a crash course in AA with some pop psychology thrown in. If you are physically dependent on opiates there is no medical detox in this facility.

Strengths: Native American Track, deep into personal conflicts into the individual, gets them talking, mindfullness work, cultural, drumming, makes drums, and get to keep them beating, Weaknesses: Filtering out people that actually wanted treatment, others there for legal reasons, I would highly recommend this program, to any Native American or any other race.
