Nightmare is the only fitting word. The living facilities are old and dirty, you see each doctor once for maybe 10 minutes in your whole stay. The staff are extremely unprofessional and really don\'t care, they are only there because it\'s a job. You must wait in very long lines for meds and clients fight over who was there or cut the line and staff doesn\'t nothing. Also the nurse opens whenever she/he feels like it, not keeping posted times. They don\'t explain phone list that if you don\'t get on it you\'re s.o.l and they don\'t care about your personal faith because they pick what church they want and won\'t tell you what, where or type and offer no other faith support, not online or any other way. Detox is a nightmare... The area this place is located is very dangerous and the pictures you see on the site is a completely separate building, not where you are staying. Complete bait and switch. I could go on and on with the issues, please save your money and time. There is real help from real ppl who care out there, but they don\'t work here.

Less than 24 hours after returning from this facility, my spouse was drinking. We identified that my spouse needed more psychiatric help than the typical addiction recovery. This was their third time at inpatient care. This dual diagnosis facility barely meets that standard. It didn\'t seem like the counselors were listening or even making an attempt to listen. The management of the place is out of touch and dismissive of valid concerns. The web site lies about this facility\'s location. This facility is in a very bad neighborhood of Memphis. The area has some of the highest urban blight in the nation as well as crime rate. Save your money and find another place. This place is very little about getting people well and more about money. No Hippocratic oaths adhered to here.

This place stinks! They say it\'s going to cost you a set amount, then after you get there they say \"oh by the way you will have to pay extra for labs\" Then you get sent to collections because the lab doesn\'t know your address. Also once your insurance isn\'t paying at inpatient level of care they will kick you out if you don\'t want to pay extra to stay. They get you there then it is a whole new story!!!!!!

Most of the counseling staff are in recovery or has first hand experience with addiction/recovery. Difficult to change Doctors. This facility was just what I needed! You have a team of Doctors, counselors, and educators helping to make the most of your time there, really felt I wasn't alone and in good hands.

My father loved the exercise programs. I barely got to talk to him. It was like he was in jail. We live in Minnesota and he went to La Paloma in Tennessee. He was only allowed on the phone for a few minutes so I sometimes wouldn't hear from him for days. He liked the food and he started to exercise and really get into exercising. I just wish they would've worked with him more for how much it costed.

My daughter was treated in summer 2015 at this facility. The care she received was good, staff was understanding. Business office was to file insurance and for reimbursement for me since I paid $27967 out of pocket. Once they got the funds, have not filed insurance or been helpful. The facility is lacking in amenities and old. Thank god for the staff that deal directly with patients. Food service top notch, healthy and plentiful menu.

Great staff working together to assist the patients. Employees care about patients. A downfall of the facility was the easy access to the outside world.

A benefit was the ease of contained psychiatrist. However, they need better follow-up on patients. Overall, it was a great facility.

Although my spouse was drug free for over 5 years he was really depressed. They were billed as dual treatment but had few trained counselors and very limited interaction with the trained staff, which had been touted as available and competent. There was inadequate professional contact for targeted symptoms.

Just went to the grand re-opening, what a beautiful renovation. The Blue Door recording studio, art room, nature trail and new fitness center are really inviting and will no doubt lead to increased engagement!

Buyer beware. When you get to this center the financial rules change after you are admitted. ... I left because the place was so dirty and so cold. It would have made me deathly ill. They do not tell you the truth.

The doctors are not involved with the patients. They diagnosis at in appropriate times. They don't know how to identify, much less treat, a near fatal allergic reaction. My daughter's life was in danger here. Don't send your loved ones here.

Care is very patient-centric....(Pursue) integrated model of treatment; everyone has a different recovery program and we allow them to see all types of recovery programs.

The picture of La Paloma, was NOT accurate. It was in DOWNTOWN Memphis, next to the factory district. The OLD building was cold. EVERYONE had to do chores, even though we paid for treatment. Very strict, no physical activity available. The counselor was great, though.

Overall I thought this treatment was exactly what I signed up for. I met with my psych doctors twice a week, my therapist almost every single day and was able to have a bunch of time to figure things out. Staff was nice, but the education classes after 6:30 were poor. I wish there was more of a 12 step approach instead of having the same people tell their stories after 6:30. I went in a 1.5 out of ten and I left a solid 6. I was given the medical help, therapeutic help and tools to make my life better. Each day I continue to live a life of recovery La Palmoa becomes closer to my heart.

While the quality of care was above average the facility could definitely use some work. Also...I would be very hesitant to trust them with my private information.

This facility is a farce. The staff is poorly trained and the daily classes/workshops have unskilled facilitators. Counselors meet infrequently with clients and meetings with the psychiatrist who monitors your case is catch as catch can. Basically a money generating facility that operates on quantity of clients, not quality of care. I will say that the food is outstanding, but quite expensive for cost.
