Specialization

  • Holistic Therapy
Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.
  • Medical Detoxification
Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.

wanna know why theres over a 90% chance of relapse after treatment? yeah, thats because these places dont do shit.. its an overpriced daycare. this one in particular was pumping everyone full of harmful medications which sickens me to think about now that ive had some time to do so. They would load people up in a van and take them to a psychiatrist who diagnosed 9/10 ppl with bipolar disorder and then prescribe accordingly.. WHEN ARE WE GONNA START TREATING THE ROOT CAUSE AND NOT THE SYMPTOMS??? Mental health starts in the GUT... YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. this experience left such a bad taste in my mouth. i was convinced i was mentally ill and needed to attend meetings everyday for the rest of my life. Fast forward a few years later and im the healthiest and happiest ive ever been.. wanna know the trick??? Fix your stomach dysbiosis, get sunlight and exercise. stop eating and drinking processed junk and get good quality sleep.. Educate yourself so that you dont fall into this trap of \" mental illness\". These ppl belong in jail.

The only complaint I have is that they didn’t do much to help with co-occurring mental disorders. They treated my depression and anxiety as a result of my addiction instead of one of the crucial causes of my addiction.

I was extremely disappointed by this facility. I had two family members go here and sadly it is not a good place for co-occurring disorders....such as addiction and depression together or addiction and ptsd or trauma Sadly, there are not enough Counselors to adequately give each client the time they need. The clients only receive a limited amount of time with their Counselors. I was extremely disappointed and ended up having to find another place in Texas which focused not only on the addiction, but the underlying issues that can cause addiction. We had great success with this other place but I would not recommend Dove Tree for any adolescent, adult or family member. It has become too large and too much of a business and forgot about what truly matters.....which are the PEOPLE. It felt more like cattle going through the program. There are much more holistic programs and treatment facilities that focus on the individual as a whole and family counseling.

I stayed at the Ranch at Dove Tree this past June, I cannot say enough positive things about this facility. The staff was caring and phenomenal, and provided access to outside meetings, as well as nightly meetings in house so that you can find a sponsor that meets your needs. The food is amazing and the kitchen staff is always so accommodating. If you are looking for help for yourself, or for a loved one, this is the place to go!
