you people are idiots. the desk personnel don't even try to do their job or read for that matter. keep getting packages refused because a patient doesn't have both last names on the package, but has two last names in person...try working a tiny bit harder than bare minimum, and maybe you'd get decent reviews. worthless is the quality of help you provide.

Stayed the entire program and even though there were certain things I didnt always agree with, it was by far the best facility I have ever been to. I hear people say this is like jail and obviously they have never been to a state run facility before because this place is not even close. They are strict, yes and of course they will try to convince you to not leave. DUH we were just shooting drugs or drinking ourselves to death why should we be trusted in the real world. Anyways, stick with the people who are doing the right thing and listen to the people running it and you will have a good experience.

I was a patient at the Watershed 3 times in my early 20s. During my recovery process I spent a couple weeks at the detox center in Boyton Beach. The Facility is clean, comfortable and a majority of the staff are recovering addicts. This was nice because I could relate well to them. The remainder of my stay was spent in Lake Worth at a renovated motel that was made into a recovery community. They bus you every morning to classes that are located at a different location in Boyton Beach. Overall the classes were beneficial, a little repetitive but overall very helpful. They introduce you back into the “ real world”over a period of 1-2 months. They also provide halfway and sober living houses if you decide to extend your stay in Florida. I have been sober going on 4 years and the Watershed helped stear me in the righ direction. I am very thankful to have been blessed with the opportunity to be a patient here. I would recommend this place to anyone trying to start a life free from the chains of addiction.

I completed detox with Watershed in March 2018. When I originally called, I was introduced to the idea of completing the Treatment Program as well. I stated, that would think about it and that it sounded like a great idea. Completed detox. This where the games began. The guy who you speak with at check in, handle the deductibles. His goal is to get the deductible from you before you cross the threshold. Mine you, before arriving, their telephone admissions person, tells you to NOT worry about money or the deductible. We will not put it on your credit. Get to check in guy, after arriving and he asks for payment. You sit and make verbal arrangements with hi, and off you go to your room. After, I came out of my fog, I was to learn that he had broken the verbal arrangement and was telephoning Emergency Contacts. He was lying and telling the person that the client would be exited out of the program unless THOUSANDS of dollars are paid, immediately. When people called home, on the payphones, they were shocked that the verbal arrangement had been broken and that the love one, if able, paid the dollar amount. Now, we go to another level of nonsense. When people would speak with the their intern therapist, there were no answers provided. Clients were dismissed and eventually ignored. They had someone come in to do damage control and they spoke to us, as if WE had the problem, for being upset about a verbal agreement being broken. The case managers would do the same. It was one brick wall after another. Three of us decided that we would NOT move forward to the residential treatment program because the trust had been broken and never properly handled. Very manipulative. The next level of nonsense. Watershed, the intern therapist, , who run the site, did not want to check us out. They kept game playing, even after we told them that we wanted to discharge and then "threatened" us by saying they would put that we left against their professional advice. PLEASE. Do not get me started on the horrible intern therapist. Purposely dragged and delayed and strung out our exit date. I had to use my own money to turn home because they would not make arrangements until the next week Tuesday and I was due to leave on a Friday, the week before. Difficult. Difficult. Difficult. So, on the day that I left, NOTHING was planned for me to have a proper discharge. The techs had to scramble around to get me all of my belongings, so I could get out when the taxi arrived so I could catch a train to the Amtrak and get the HECK out of dodge. I made it out. I escaped. There is no way in HECK that Watershed does not know, from common sense, that money is a stressor. And then to be spoken to, as if we were missing the whole point of recovery. They never once, took any responsibility for creating an environment which was detrimental to the atmosphere of recovery. They could care less of how THEIR actions affected the clients. People leaving to relapse and being able to return immediately after and be checked in again. (This is not rehab or treatment. When you relapse, you must stay gone for anywhere up to 30 days.) The yelling and screaming all hours of the day and night. No concrete schedule. The list goes on and on. Oh, let us not forget, the men techs walking into rooms without knocking AND waiting for a response. It was hell. Truly. and this is ONLY a portion of the shenanigans that take place at Watershed. Never go here. That is it. I am tired of writing. But, there is more.

Awful - this place is all about the money and the insurance money they will pressure you from day one and when you don’t pay (we had insurance) what they ask - they stop returning phone calls and they kick your loved one out and send them to another facility. You are mislead to believe they are safe- very pushy to get them there and Shame on me for not reading the reviews on line and the bbb before as we went by a recommendation from someone that went over 10 years ago- this is a traumatic enough event without this added stress. Wonder if anyone has investigated them based on all the negative feedback. Write to your congressman for legislation to better regulate these places and insurance watchdogs so another family does not go through a similar experience. The nurses were very nice but there is definitely a disconnect everywhere else.

I've never been made to feel so much like a child....TWS should separate the women from the men and the younger people should be separated from the more mature patients. It's a bunch of chaos. I think I should have chose a different facility, one that has more individualized therapy

Watershed is a rehab facility, not a vacation. You have to do the work to get the results. It took me 2 times, but I learned rehab, no matter where you go is what you make it. I have been sober 7 months and this is possible by the coping skills I learned at watershed. Also I am a REAL PATIENT. Some are just at not ready to let go of their addiction. Those that are, I would HIGHLY recommend watershed!!

I would never send a loved one here.they should be closedown. It is false advertising. Out of approximately 80 patients I was one of a few from Florida. I wonder why? They advertise out of state and pay for perspective clients plane tickets and they are picked up by the facilities limo. They do not allow you to have access to your belongings therefore you can not leave. I had to borrow a phone card and call my family on the sneak to come and get me. They refused to give me my insurance info after my family arrived to take me to another facility the facility I went to was really on the beach, spotless, and they only accepted approximately 20 clients. The quality of care was amazing. Please do not send anyone you care about to this facility.

This is a very dishonest place. The call center lied to me and my family: they are in a run down medical bldg far from any beach. They promised they had horseback riding on the beach, flat screen TVs in every room, an Olympic pool, and that they would not take my cell phone or tablet. All of it was fabrication. My therapist promised to help me save my marriage but then privately advised my husband to divorce me because I was an addict. If you love someone who needs treatment DO NOT send them here!A year after my bogus treatment I finally am clean and sober ON MY OWN.

Great rehab! Very helpful I was in very bad shape when I came through in 2008 and then in 2016 I came back and stayed until 3qrts. If I would have went to a different rehab without a doubt I would be still using. But now I have over 6 months clean and completely changed my life around thanks to the tools and knowledge the Watershed has taught me! Highly recommend this rehab.

I attended The Watershed from 2/18/15-4/30/15. That's a long time to be in treatment! And I am so thankful I was there for that long, because the staff and therapists there gave me the firm foundation I needed to live a sober life. Everything that they suggested to me I did. And here's a shocker!!! It worked!!! Leaving The Shed and getting involved in 12 step recovery programs has led me to visit and speak at other rehabs around my home state of Pennsylvania. And I will tell you what... The Shed blows these places out of the water. The level of compassion and understanding from the staff and employees here is unmatched I feel. And I have seen quite a few different treatment centers in 2 and a half years. The counselors actually made me realize that I am worth it and I do deserve to live a life clean and sober. They actually made me feel that they cared about what happened to me after I left the Shed. There is not one day that goes by that I do not think about my two counselors that were instrumental in helping me stay clean till today. I really liked the way the Shed has a step down program where they actually teach you how to live sober. No matter what environment you are in. Whether you choose to stay in Florida or return home or go somewhere totally new, I left there knowing that if I want to be sober, put the work and effort into staying sober, then I can really have a life where I can be happy, joyous and free without drugs and alcohol. I have met people from all walks of life there that I am still very close to today and that I talk to on a regular basis. The shed helped me to form meaningful, lifelong friendships! I will be forever and eternally grateful for the blessing in my life that is the Watershed. It saddens me when I visit other rehabs and I look around and I compare them to the Shed because I can honestly say, if I went somewhere else instead, I don't know if I would be sitting here writing this review... The staff and employees at the Watershed saved my life. Plain and Simple. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. I will always give them a five star rating because I will always have a special place in my heart for the Shed and everyone that worked/works there! I will be forever thankful and grateful for having the opportunity to attend the Boynton Beach facility and be given the chance to make it to the other side!! Someone really wanted me to stick around a while longer the day I picked up the phone and called for help... Because I got connected to the Watershed. They gave me my second chance at life...

I am going to keep this 100% real, if you're not serious about changing your life through a program of recovery don't waste your time. This has been a life changing experience for me. I had the best therapist who never once told me what i wanted to hear. I've met some of my closest friends here as well. Do not listen to the horror reviews, any treatment center you attend people are going to be doing the wrong things. The Watershed does there absolute best at keeping the community clean and positive. The step down program is a perfect way to restart your life. I've learned patience here to say the least, but every time i thought the watershed was being ridiculous i looked back a day or few days after and realized I was the problem. Sobriety doesn't promise us Sainthood. You'll only get out what you put in, maybe more and the Watershed gives you every opportunity to do that in a safe, friendly community. If you choose the watershed, simply remember you're not coming here to continue being the same person, be open minded and accept the suggestions from staff and people who have the clean time.

I gave away everything to drink. When I went to the Watershed the community was constructed to build me up to take back my will to live and build back up everything I gave away. The therapists are always willing to listen- the alumni are highly active in your well being and the people who walk hand and hand with you are family. Through Death and despair I had a brother and sister right by my side to listen. I have my family back, my financial stability, and a will to live I never could have imagined. The Shed helped save my life and I am reborn.

2 1/2 years ago i was at my rock bottom, seen a commercial for the watershed and by the grace of god i picked up the phone and called..the person who answered the phone saved my.life..they where so compassionate, showing empathy for me, who felt like the biggest loser. The very next day i was on a plane headed to florida. They paid for my flight as i was financial dead from this disease. I was only planning to stay through detox, however since the moment i walked into the watershed i felt a sense of home like this is exaclty where i was meant to be. Every person from the techs, nurses doctors, and even the other people in there like me where like angels. I actually decided to stay and spent 31 days at the watershed, leaving my 13 yr old daughter in Jersey. Well that was the best decision of my life. The watershed taught me so much about myself, my disease and showed my all the tools i would need to live a life worth living. I've been clean since 1.2.15 and i could never say enough about my experience at tje watershed, and i would highly recommend it to anyone who seeks to be cleam N and sober

I visited The Watershed after having sometime clean, relapsing, and then spending years on my own, trying to regain sobriety. Their clinical team, supported by great behavioral health technicians, was warm and embracing. They delivered me a comprehensive treatment approach that gave me the breakthroughs necessary to get sober and remain sober, still. I am forever grateful for the opportunities that The Watershed gave me. Most of all I am happy to habe my life back. Happy, Joyous, and Free!!

This is a very unstructured program with a rude program director. I had left to go get cigarettes and because I left without permission she (program director) took all my belongings for 4 days. Would not give me hygiene products or clean underwear. The only reason I got my belongings taken away was because I've been to this program a couple times and me and the program director do no get along because I told her I think her and this place is a joke. They have horrible groups with no structure or consequences. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place. The apartments are very dirty with ants everywhere and if u want to leave they will not let you. You have to fight with them for a few days just to start your discharge paper work and then it takes another 5-7 days for the paperwork to be completed. All because they want your insurance money! I hate this place!!!

The watershed medically eased my withdrawal, taught me how to cope with things without the use of chemicals, then pointed towards a fellowship of men and women who continue to lead me towards God and a better way of life. The program at the watershed is set up in such a way, that they took a hopeless, lost, and broken soul like myself, and slowly reintroduced me to the world and taught me how to function in it. The staff are mostly made up of people who've taken the same journey, and could help me when I strayed off course. This place became the foundation on which I've built my life today, and I wouldn't change a thing.

I have been in the watershed treatment program for 1year and i have been through some ups and downs....i havent always been the perfect client but not everyone decides to seek treatment at their best. I have met man amazing people who are truly passionate about helping the clients through this difficult process. The sad part is that the individules whom hold the power do not really care its simply a paycheck which is truly disgusting. Niw id love to tell you the great things first but sadly i have to get someones attention that is above the director... i am being discharged which isnt my issue my issue is that i was offered a completion letter with my discharge from the previous level of care iop7 which was less the 7 days ago and now the Director is refusing to provide me with a completion letter stating i should have discharged from iop7. Im being penalized for making the choice to continue in the program. It doesnt matter how many good people are employed by the watershecanf one can make such life changing individuals that can impact someones life and their families life in such a negative way out of spite or dislike the program needs some realignment. Someone needs to reevaluate her performance and qualifications. Tgis program could be better if Clients were able to report to individuals that could actually address tgeir issues. i wont say its not for anyone but its not for everyone. If you need documents stating you completed the program dont chance it....find a different program. As i said before i am hoping to get the attention of Dr. is an amazing women that im sure wouldnt be ok with this but i will complete a more extensive review in the up coming days!!!

The watershed changed my life. I reluctantly made the call over 4 years ago and never looked back. The staff and others really make the difference. They genuinely care about the struggling addict or alcoholic who comes through there doors. I just can\'t say enough about the graditude that I have for the watershed. I can\'t imagine where I\'d be if I hadn\'t had the opportunity to get help atsuch a wonderful place!

The watershed facility and staff has helped me achieve the sobriety I have today. Their detox facility is comfortable and accommodating, however it is very much still a hospital setting. Which I find to be fitting because you are reminded of the severity of your situation, not \"whisked away by a resort like oasis\" (how helpful do you think that kind of false reality environment truly is?) I was blessed with a few great therapists who worked with me through my highs and lows. The step down process of the levels of care throughout treatment was very beneficial for an addict like myself. I was introduced to a 12 step program and encouraged by staff to get involved in that. The watershed will help you achieve sobriety IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT. Treatment will unfold in the direction you want it to. I am grateful to have this facility that aided in my recovery, provided me refuge and gave me the foundation to build my new life.

I absolutely love The Watershed. Not only do they have some of the most amazing, kind, caring, understanding staff members I\'ve ever met in a facility, but out of the 4 times I have attended treatment, The Watershed is 100% the most effective program I have ever been through. I am so blessed to have been able to get sober through The Watershed. Without the long term treatment I received and everyone I met along the way, I honestly don\'t think I would be here today. The Shed saved my life.

What an amazing blessing the watershed gave to our family and my sister who struggled with addiction for years. She attended several other rehabs in the past that never seemed to help. The structure and positive staff members helped her reach a life outside of addiction! I am forever greatful to have my sister back, and would highly recommend this treatment facility to any addict or family member seeking for help!!

The Watershed pretty much saved my life. Simply put. When I was at my lowest point in my life and considering the ultimate, The Shed brought me back to the man I was years ago. I surrended, shut my mouth, opened my ears, and put forward what was so easily presented to me. I will always be an alcoholic, a damn proud one at that. My life is new again. Not long ago I thought my life was over (enter War Stories here), but now life begins at 52, and I\'ve got a lot to offer still. Where I go from here I\'m not sure, but if I keep doing what I\'m doing, my path will lead to a brighter future............. The Shed Rocks

I was granted an opportunity to enter The Watershed in 2012. The expert staff at The Watershed aided in saving my life. The clinical team was able to help me cope with my anxiety without the use of substances. The alumni staff recommended that I start working a 12-step program. While, I was there I obtained a sponsor and went to meetings. My life started changing - I started gaining self-worth, confidence, love for myself, and ability to be a productive member of society. Today my life is beyond my wildest dreams - I’m spiritually, mentally, and physically wealthy. I wouldn’t be where I’m at right now if it wasn’t for The Watershed.

I came to The Watershed in 2012 after countless attempts at \"28 days stay\" state run facilities. The Watershed\'s full continuum of care allowed me to not only learn the tools and skills I needed, but gave me the extra push I needed to incorporate them into my everyday life. I stayed for the entire program (2 1/2 years) all the way up to sober living. If you continue to do the right thing, follow the rules and take suggestions this place can help you change your life. I am forever grateful for the entire program and staff for helping me get my life back.

The staff are taken advantage of. Employees may accrue time off, but management denys scheduled time off except for their scheduled days off, which does not seem to be in line with company policy nor values. . If they do, they are treated as if they did something wrong or their job is in jeopardy. As with any employer, an employee should be able to request time off in advance and not have to worry about not having a job!! this lowers morale and makes for unhappy employees

Very Good
I went to The Watershed in April, 2012, after my mom searched for a rehab for me and found this one online, since it\'s advertised everywhere. She was told on the phone that it would be a 14-28 day program, and that they would set me up with an outpatient program back home. I arrived in Florida and after a couple days, I realized that I wouldn\'t be leaving any time soon. From the moment I arrived, I started hearing how it was so hard to leave, since you couldn\'t sign yourself out (apparently you sign away that right on intake) so you need someone else to tell the counselor that they\'ll take care of you, basically. The issue was, the counselors would call that person multiple times a day, telling them that if you left, you would be in danger. The inpatient program was decent, I suppose, as far as a 12 step program goes. There was an impressive cafeteria, with five star meals every day. We went to groups during the day and spent our free time outside, generally just talking and chain smoking cigarettes. After a few weeks, I was transferred from the inpatient program to PHP, the partial hospitalization program. That meant leaving the Boynton inpatient location and moving into the apartments, called TWA (The Watershed Apartments.) I had heard stories about TWA the entire time that I was in inpatient... I quickly discovered that these stories were disturbingly accurate. About 4 or 5 weeks later, I was moved from TWA to TWR (The Watershed Residence.) TWR is located two streets away from TWA and the apartments themselves are very similar. Each time, we had two people two a room, two bedrooms to an apartment. One bedroom had an attached bathroom, and there was always another shared bathroom, in addition to the small living room and eat-in kitchen. When you move from TWA to TWR, you gain certain privileges, which increase during your time at TWR, but you're still in the PHP program, which involves taking the bus ("the druggie buggie") to and from Quantum each day to participate in various groups and meetings. It should also be noted that the five star meals are a thing of a past once you enter PHP, as you are now given a $40 Publix giftcard to do your grocery shopping for the week, in addition to being given sparse breakfast and lunch at Quantum (think bagels for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch, very simple, basic meals.) We were taken shopping once a week in both TWA and TWR. Living at TWR, you\'re allowed to leave for certain amounts of time, as long as you sign out and say where you\'re going. You\'re also allowed to carry small amounts of money for the first time. When I was there at first, we couldn\'t have our phones, but I believe certain people in TWR had been there long enough to get them back -- this all changed later on when they were forced to give us our phones back much earlier in the program. The counselors at PHP were generally pretty terrible -- A few weeks into my second stay at TWA, my mom and I had finally had enough, and found a way to get me home. It didn\'t get me any closer to being clean, and I actually have serious anxiety because of the experience. Overall, it was an awful experience and I would never, ever suggest this place, even to my worst enemy. I have over two and a half years clean now, but that is no way thanks to this place or its program.

It turned his life around in one month. But family counseling by church, and psychological counseling through justice system have been involved in continuing recovery. He is about to enter the job corps to continue his recovery and gain GED cert and job skills, necessary to a successful life. They took him in for $1000.00 That was a good price, but then the "patient advocate" got much more money out of me without providing the additional time and training promised. It worked for Daniel. But continuing support was also crucial and he was open to that after the initial drug education that he got in Florida. Dates are approximate, he was there for one month.

It seemed like they just wanted to make money. Young assistant staff with minimal experience, no education, recovering addicts themselves. They were more interested in punishing patients by taking phones away or not allowing to watch tv instead of providing more education and counseling. More like a prison. Staff stole items from patients.

My daughter did extremely well because of the helpful staff. They always kept us updated and she seemed to be very happy during treatment. She said the detox was dirty. She relapsed after treatment which I don't think I can blame the program for.

Amazing intervention procedures for patients wanting to leave when it gets tough. Good support. Separation of men and women in detox program was nice. There was no acupuncture or anything like that. I received a tremendous amount of help and information from this facility and its staff. At the time I got treatment, almost three years ago, I was not ready to recover. However, when I relapsed February 10th 2014, I gladly returned where I knew I would get the help I needed. Now I have almost 16 months clean, an amazing job in recovery, and a perfect little 7 month old boy, working the 12 steps and staying sober has changed my life.
