Great
My son had been to upscale rehabs 5 times. We valued his recovery more than he did. It wasn't until he had to be responsible at The Way Up that recovery meant something to him. He's got 9 years clean, is a solid citizen, and it's all because of the staff - and me listening to them. Teaching personal accountability, responsibility, and life skills to maintain the foundation of recovery. Their guidance to families was personal, helpful, and much needed. Perhaps more varied outings so the men know there's fun out there. However, they do have camping, cultural events, but they could do them more often.

Good
If you\'re not mandated here you will prob. end up leaving (good chance you\'ll end up leaving if you\'re mandated.) That was my experience. If you get past the first month of craziness you might get something out of it. Be prepared to walk a lot, be hungry, have at least one meeting a day, be held accountable for absolutely everything you say and do, and have no personal space. Lots of ambiguous rules and cult like behavior. But I have maintained sobriety ever since I left so gotta give 5 stars on treatment effectiveness. I have nothing against this place just giving the facts.

Excellent
My life was a wreck before i came to The Way Up Rehabilitation. I couldn\'t function with or without drugs. I stole from friends, family and anyone who turned their back long enough. I was in and out of jail too many times to count and honestly felt like it was just a part of my life that i could wake up in jail on any given day. I didn\'t know how to do anything different but i was tired of the way i was living. When i arrived i was in shock by how different the program was than i expected. i was thinking it was like a half-way house but i soon found out that the only thing we do around here halfway is sleep. The agenda is full and we stay busy chasing recovery all day every day. That was one of my favorite parts, staying busy all the time kept me from isolating and getting depressed about all the stuff i messed up in my past. Instead i was focusing on making progress and moving forward in the solution. Eight ears later i have a family, a life, a wife, and a great job. i cant put into words how grateful i am for The Way Up program.

The Way Up and Narcotics Anonymous saved my life. The is the best program I\'ve ever heard of. It is not for people who \"might\" have a problem. This is for hardcore addicts that need help. This program has changed hundreds of lives through the years and will continue to do so. If you want to get clean and you want the best, then go here, period. Anyone who doesn\'t fall in love with this place is usually in denial and not ready to get clean. The process of recovery is not an overnight process. Not only was I taught about recovery at The Way Up, we learned about management and how to lead. This place is far more than a rehab. I have 14yrs. clean, run three business, have a wonderful family, earned an MBA, and fly a private airplane. All gifts of recovery! Recovery I learned at THE WAY UP.

Very Good
The Way Up saved my life. It\'s not easy. Nothing involved with getting clean is easy, and it shouldn\'t be. Experience from active addiction tells me that anything that came easy to me was freely sold to my drug dealer. The Way Up taught me that the best things in life require hard work to earn and keep. I have over four years clean today. I owe most of it to The Way Up. I enjoy life, and I don\'t put my family and loved ones suffer because of my actions anymore. Everyday occurrences at this rehab require recovering addicts to practice principles taught within the Twelve Steps/Traditions of Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous. I was not mandated by any court. My willingness to stay clean and find a new way of life kept me there. It\'s not as if I had much of an old life to return to anyways. I had no home. I had nothing of value. I lived off either what I stole or what grandmother gave me. I slept in a car that she was paying for most nights. It was either that or a mobile home without electricity. The Way Up is not a five star resort. But it sure did beat my living arrangements from before I arrived. The mattress was old, but it was warm. I slept in a room with five other people, but I was safe. I ate either peanut butter and jelly or balogna sandwiches until I was caught up and able to buy my own food. After a few months, I was able to pay my father back for fronting half of the entry fee. I paid the other half back to the director who covered that part. From that point on, I became self-sufficient. I can\'t put a price on the life I have today. It was worth every penny. I am forever grateful to this place.

The Way Up instilled discipline and structure in my life where I was lacking. Most importantly they showed me how to love myself and how to enjoy life without using. Active addiction is horrifying, and The Way Up (along with staff and graduates) gave me the tools to build a foundation for a clean, healthy lifestyle! Thanks guys.

This treatment facility tries to shame the individual into recovery. The accommodations are horrible. Usually 15 people in a house. When I was here there were six people in a single small room. There are two counselors for many men making the counseling that they advertise obsolete! This program is about money, plain and simple.
