Twin Lakes Recovery Center is founded on the belief that long-term recovery is possible for everyone who desires and works for it. Our fundamental goal is to restore the individual to a healthier, happier, and more productive life, free from dependence on alcohol, addictive chemicals and destructive behaviors. We believe that each person who walks through the doors is a unique individual who has a very special set of needs. Our practices are built on the disease concept of addiction. Though addiction is incurable it is treatable. We believe that the families are as affected as the individual; and when possible, the family system is addressed as part of comprehensive care. Fundamental to our daily practices is the belief that all people have equal worth. Our decisions are made on the philosophy that each person has an inherent potential for change and growth and that certain proven principles help us all move toward continuous improvement, deeper relationships and greater joy, even in the face of difficulties. We will provide you with a meaningful treatment experience that addresses the whole person: Body, Mind and Spirit. We will do this without judgements or criticisms. We believe that by treating the under-lying causes of a substance abuse condition you can significantly increase your chances for a full, lifelong recovery. We acknowledge the paradox that recovery requires individual accountability and an ongoing supportive network. “You have to give it away to keep it.” Twin Lakes Recovery Center provides a safe and supportive atmosphere and a staff well versed in the recovery process, which we see as a lifelong adventure. Past failures are not indicative of the potential to live a life clean of addictive substances. We value our contribution to the exciting process of helping people move from hopelessness to hopefulness.

Specialization

  • Medical Detoxification
Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
  • Client & Family Support Groups
Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.

Awesome nursing staff. Good counselors. The techs who supervise patients lacked, specifically two women, being in recovery themselves, who shared during most of discussion about their stories and left little time for patients to share their feelings. Seemed these two female techs were getting more recovery for themselves than the patients. It is extremely helpful to have techs in recovery who have been through what the patients are going through, but not when they are making it all about themselves in order to strengthen their recovery.

My brother went to Twin Lakes Recovery suffering from depression and alcoholism. They appeared, from the moment we made contact with them, to be a legitimate facility and we were sure he was going to get the help he so desperately needed. We knew he needed help and we tried our very best to find that help. It was clear money was the most important thing to them. The day we arrived, again, they appeared to be concerned and caring. My brother was there for less than TWO WEEKS when he called our mother stating he was ready to come home. We knew he wasn't ready, however, Twin Lakes supported his decision and agreed he could come home. My brother came home from this negligent facility and began drinking the next day. This just one life out of many I'm sure you DID NOT HELP! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE ONE STAR RATING AS A POSITIVE! IT WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO POST WITHOUT CHECKING ONE.

Unprofessional, former patients without formal training assist the staff, high relapse rate for patients, counselors are ill-equipped, techs are great, location is great. Medical detox. Understaffed and staffed with former patients without formal training. The counselors go through the motions but lack the ability to get to the substance of the issue. I was contacted and told my loved ones counselor couldnt read him and asked for assistance in understanding his dryness. The grounds are pretty but I would never recommend this place over other facilities.
