At WinGate, our philosophy in the effective treatment of troubled teens is to create an enviornment of responsiveness while reducing the resistance the troubled teen has toward change, authority, and himself or herself. At WayPoints our philosophy is that every young adult is capable of dramatic internal change. When clinical issues are effectively addressed, real change occurs. Part of real change is also a returning to, or a re-discovering of oneself, revealing a unique, talented and gifted person.

Look to understand the whole person
Its not about "performance", about "responsiveness" and the internal desire to make life changes. We fundamentally believe in treating young people as "able and capable people of value.

Do not send your child to this program. The lack of supervision is unbelievable. He was not making good choices that is why he was there!! Spoke to the director and got a bunch of bull.. Absolutely a terrible experience!!! If a parent had told me this type of thing has happened..I would never have sent him.. Good luck
