I heard about Yellowstone over 10 years ago,but I did not want to go there. They Believed in Family and fellowship and taking direction I wanted to be alone with my \"stuff.\" A year later came the intervention. They took me to Yellowstone because of its long history of success;I wanted to go somewhere where I could have a car, a phone, an ipad etc. none of these things were allowed in the first 30 days. Now that I have a year sober, I have earned my way to the car etc. and I help newcomers at Yellowstone who complain just like I did

I hated everything about Yellowstone in my first two weeks; the classes, the staff, the counseling, even the one-on-one counseling, the AA meetings. I didn\'t like my sponsor or the assignments I had to write. I didn\'t think it was a very good program. But then, when I realized that I had 30 days sober and clean I started to wonder if this might be the right program. Now that I have two years, I know that without Yellowstone I would never have gotten this far. But if I were new, I would still have lots of complaints. And if I were not sober I would be blaming the program. So if you are not sober, come home. Remember that Yellowstone will always be your family.

The type of scam this company is running is outrageous. I called right path drug rehab to get my girlfriend enrolled into their treatment facility. I spoke to Roger who apparently works for Beachside rehab. I was assured she would be going 2 Beachside which was only an 8 girl facility in a four-bedroom house. We were also told she would be picked up by them and she would be taken to an undisclosed location. On June 1st the day she was picked up an uber driver showed up to pick up my girlfriend. Going through detox she was very confused and was nervous to get in the car with a random person. We were not notified that they would be sending an Uber driver, this was a surprise to us and in my opinion very unprofessional. Although the location is supposed to be undisclosed I had to take precautions and I asked the driver for the address. The address he gave us was for a facility called Yellowstone, not beach side. When she arrived they took her to Yellowstone which was a very overcrowded and horrible facility. Her first day there while she was intoxicated and going through major withdrawals they had her sign a lot of paperwork and a contract but she was never supplied a copy of the contract. She spent the first 10 days in a horrible detox facility and was treated like a lower-class citizen by the employees. On two or three different occasions she asked for them to contact her emergency contacts and let them know she is okay. They told her that they contacted me but never once called me. No joke, on day 8th I was about to file a missing persons report. Come to find out the person who enrolled us wasn\'t even a drug addiction counselor, he was basically a Salesman. It doesn\'t seem right to be dealing with people in their most vulnerable state and using the salesman to milk their insurance. We were specifically told she would be able to fill out a form for financial hardship and they would waive the $5,000 deductible. My girlfriend ended up leaving after day 10 because of all the lies and horrible conditions of the facility. At the end of the month when the lady called on behalf of the rehab to give us instructions on how to send the payment when it arrived from insurance she assured me that she would still get the fee waiver. It\'s been over a month of us requesting the fee waiver and now we\'re being told by their supervisor that she does not qualify for the fee waiver because she did not stay the full 30 days. It is against the law to have an intoxicated person sign any type of contract, it\'s also against the law to not provide them a copy of the contract. We still have yet to receive a copy of the contract. When I spoke to the supervisor, james, he had the audacity to mention that she left with another man to try and piss me off. Highly unprofessional. Yes, she left with her ex-husband who she has a child with so she can go see her child first thing. This has nothing to do with the fee waiver and her stay at the facility. This was simply a low class tactic to try to get me to go against my girlfriend. The fact of the matter is, this company will lie to you and do anything to milk your insurance. My girlfriend ran into numerous girls at the facility who went through the same scenario. Please research your facility and make sure you do not make the mistake that I made. This company is high if they\'re thinking they\'re getting $5,000 out of us after the way they treated us. Furthermore, it seems as if they\'re taking advantage of addicts in their most vulnerable state instead of trying to just help

This place is unsafe! They use the word \'safe\' the entire conversation. It is no more than a project 90. They will take all your money day one and promise the world. They will tell you not to contact for 30 days. Because day two is a wake up call for clients. Don\'t believe their con speech to get your money. It\'s all a lie and should be shut down.

The attraction was the price, however as soon as that money hits their pocket things changed. No longer answering phone changed. They introduced this guy to be my sons sponsor. I asked how much time he had been clean, he said 2 months! They instantly jumped in and said oh he won\'t be his sponsor. A lot of their clients are from the jail system that allow this facility as an alternative to jail time. My son did not feel safe and was crammed into one small bedroom with 5 people.it was dirty .... Don\'t go!

Staff is unqualified or minimally qualified. There was one psychiatrist who was young and very inexperienced. The brochure information showed canoeing and other outdoor activities; in reality the place is more like a prison with little ability for many of the children to go outdoors. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO YELLOWSTONE. Seek local services which will be much more effective than this institution.
