The program at Decision Point saved my sons life. I am grateful for every person that was involved in his recovery. The program is run by professionals that all have some type of experience with addiction. They truly understand how manipulative an addict can be. Not only do they treat the addiction and teach coping skills they also teach them accountability. I know my son will have a life long challenge to stay clean and sober but Decision Point taught him a lot of coping skills. They also use a therapy called EMDR which my son says helped him the most in dealing with his cravings. In addition to all the therapy he received, they also take them on outings to show them that you can enjoy life with out drugs. They would go on long hikes in the mountains, kayaking, rock climbing and they took 9 of the clients on a camping expedition for 4 days which my son said was the best time he ever had in his life. The strong connections and bonds he made while he was there was a hugh part of his recovery as he had been alienated from all of his friends while on drugs. He graduated 2 weeks ago and has moved on to a sober living home but his attitude is amazing and he says it feels good to have a clear mind again. My son initially wanted to go to a rehab facility that used medication assisted therapy(methadone or suboxone) as he felt he could not be clean with out something but we insisted that he be free of all drugs that would consume his life. He has no cravings at all for any of the drugs he was addicted to. If you are considering going to a treatment facility or looking for a loved one, this is the place you want them to go to. If you or your loved one wants help and are willing then I believe Decision Point can help them. They are strict and have a lot of rules but I think that is what helped my son the most. Being in a safe setting with no temptations. I highly recommend decision point with no hesitation what so ever. My son was in another facility in California 2 months prior and I would say they were enablers. It is very hard to find a good, honest facility that actually wants to help people. Every person at decision point truly cares for their clients. Very experienced in treating drug/alcohol addiction.
If you want to get sober you need to call these guys. They literally saved my daughters life! they are angels sent from heaven.
