Specialization

  • Medical Detoxification

Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
  • Individualized Treatment

Some facilities have an addiction treatment protocol that all patients or clients are expected to follow, while others customize or individualize treatment based on a person’s unique needs and circumstances. Factors that may affect treatment decisions include age, lifestyle, medical conditions, type of drug, religious beliefs, etc.

ABOUT PINNACLE PEAK RECOVERY

Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, Pinnacle Peak Recovery (PPR) offers residential treatment for adults struggling with substance use disorder or co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

While most residential clients remain on-site for 30-45 days, individuals who opt for an extended stay may remain in treatment for over 90 days. Pinnacle Peak Recovery is among the 19.6 percent of Arizona treatment facilities to offer residential programming lasting longer than 30 days.

PPR takes a comprehensive, holistic approach designed to modify behavior, regulate emotions, and increase mindfulness. The center utilizes a number of evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), the latter of which is practiced by 62.5 percent of treatment facilities in Arizona.

While in treatment, clients are exposed to both 12-step and non-12-step recovery models. They also engage in individual and group therapy, and family members of clients are encouraged to participate in the center’s family program.

Clients interested in aftercare can participate in the intensive outpatient program (IOP), which is a treatment level provided by 48.4 percent of treatment facilities in Arizona. The rehab also provides weekly support group meetings for alumni.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

PPR has a staff-to-client ratio of 2:1. The treatment team includes a psychiatrist, a physician, a psychiatric nurse, a nurse practitioner, master’s-level therapists, and case managers experienced in the field of addiction.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

PPR offers upscale, homelike accommodations. The apartment-style residences house up to 32 individuals at a time, offering private bedrooms, an on-site pool, communal spaces with upscale furnishings, whirlpool-style tubs, and full kitchens. While residing in the facility, clients also have full access to an LA Fitness gym.

PPR also fared well on secondary sites, earning an average rating of 4.4 out of five stars based on 41 Google reviews[1] and a 4.4 out of five star rating based on the opinions of 28 individuals on Facebook, which the facility may manage[2]. I went to in-treatment for 90 days and it changed my life," Colleen wrote in a representative review on Google.

Bob, on the other hand, noted that he was disappointed with the rehab and wrote: "Inexperienced clinical staff with no family involvement and no communication."
