In the quiet city of Chico in Northern California, about 100 miles north of Sacramento, Skyway House offers residential and outpatient treatment to adults struggling with substance use disorder. Detoxification services are not available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment at Skyway House begins with a comprehensive assessment to determine the best method of treatment for each client. Clients must commit to at least 30 days of treatment but may stay for up to six months in residential care. The facility is among the 33.6 percent of rehabs in California to offer residential programming lasting longer than 30 days.
Treatment includes 12-step programming, individual and group counseling, and workshops on topics such as relapse prevention and anger management. The facility regularly hosts family activities, and family counseling is included when appropriate.

The two satisfied clients reported that the facility was comfortable and the treatment was effective. "I spent 3 months there and was very satisfied," one wrote in a representative review.
The two unhappy reviewers complained about bad food and poorly trained staff, and almost all of the respondents noted that the facility lacked adequate exercise and holistic offerings.
