Our goal is to reintroduce sober individuals into society with the skills necessary to lead meaningful, productive lives, through a compassionate and comprehensive treatment program.
  • Methamphetamine Addiction

Methamphetamine addicts suffer severe physical addiction along with psychological disorders resulting from the destruction of the dopamine center in the brain. Detoxification from meth – otherwise known as crystal, ice, speed, glass, chalk or crank – requires medical attention both for physical comfort and for the resulting low period from methamphetamine withdrawal. It can take days, weeks, even months for the brain to function normally after methamphetamines are taken away.

Rehabs 360 Guide

Founded in 2000 and located in the foothills just north of Los Angeles, the Pasadena Recovery Center is a substance abuse treatment center offering inpatient care, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and traditional outpatient programs (OP) for adults. The facility also offers on-site detox services and dual diagnosis treatment.

Pasadena Recovery Center's detox center offers 24-hour medical supervision and medication management for clients undergoing detox. Detox treatment is specified for alcohol and opioid addictions, and clients begin individual therapy during the process.

Following detox, inpatient treatment is an individualized, comprehensive 12-step treatment program. Treatment consists of individual and group therapy, as well as relapse prevention services, life skills training, and trauma therapy. Individuals and families are encouraged to work together to create a suitable home recovery environment. Group topics include anger management, grief, and loss.

Along with traditional treatment approaches, clients also participate in a range of alternative activities, including yoga, acupuncture, massages, music therapy, nature walks, and participating in a softball league.

IOP treatment occurs three days per week and includes individual and group therapy. OP treatment includes five or fewer hours of clinical treatment per week and addresses topics such as family communication, anxiety, and relapse prevention. Clients are generally recommended to progress from detox to inpatient care to outpatient treatment during early recovery, depending on their recovery needs.

The treatment team is comprised of a master's level psychotherapist, certified chemical dependency counselors, licensed advanced alcohol and drug counselors, a yoga therapist, and licensed marriage and family therapists.
