The experience at VVSD has taught my daughter to live sober and become responsible and self-confident. We flew our daughter out from North Carolina to receive treatment in San Diego. She was literally dying from liver failure. VVSD has saved her life. She's been there for six months and we feel we have our daughter back.

The staff are very involved in my treatment and help me to work a recovery program that makes it possible for me to be responsible again and I feel better than I ever have. I came from North Carolina because I was dying of alcoholism and my family made arrangements for me to come to VVSD. I had to use a walker because I was so physically ill. I've been sober six months and I worked the steps and I didn't think I would survive or live as happy as I am today. I don't have to use a walker today. I'm healthy and I have friends and I go out to meetings and will maybe have a job soon and be able to go back home with my family.
