ABOUT SUMMIT ESTATE OUTPATIENT CENTER
Since 2014, Summit Estate Recovery Center in downtown Saratoga, Calif., has provided treatment for individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. It is one of the 517 (39.4 percent) of California treatment centers that offer intensive outpatient treatment (IOP). In its calm, comfortable, and elegant setting, Summit offers confidential, holistic, personalized treatment for executives and other clients living in the South Bay area of Northern California.
For those needing detoxification services or 24/7 treatment, Summit Estate also operates a residential recovery center in Los Gatos.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Summit Estate Recovery Center's website notes the day treatment or partial hospitalization program (PHP) functions as a step-down program following residential treatment, while clients may enter the facility’s intensive outpatient program (IOP) as either an aftercare program or initial stage of rehab.
Summit Estate clients began their recovery process with a phone conversation with a staff member who assesses if inpatient or outpatient treatment is best. Same-day outpatient admission may be possible.
Group therapy is a key component of treatment, and sessions are offered on a flexible schedule. The PHP involves group therapy sessions five days a week, along with individual counseling. IOP clients meet three times per week. Both levels involve family therapy if possible, and video conferencing is available. It is one of the 701 (53.5 percent) of California treatment centers that offer couples counseling.
Highly individualized treatment programs include a combination of group and individual therapies and a blend of evidence-based treatment modalities and holistic practices. Among the treatment options offered are yoga and cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior therapies. The Summit Estate treatment philosophy does not incorporate a 12-step program; however, clients who choose to pursue one are supported in doing so.
Clients who have received a dual diagnosis of mental health and substance use disorders can also be accommodated, in particular those who struggle with depression and anxiety.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
According to the facility’s website, Summit Estate maintains a 3:1 staff-to-client ratio. The outpatient clinic’s director holds a doctorate in psychology and works with licensed therapists and certified drug and alcohol counselors.
The center is one of the 182 (13.9 percent) of California treatment centers that are accredited by The Joint Commission.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
Summit Estate Recovery Center's website indicates it is located in a converted historic barn, furnished with plush furniture in an open, coffee shop-style layout. The space is designed to invite peer conversations and individual reflection and relaxation. Family-style, nutritious, gourmet meals are provided for outpatient clients, prepared by the center’s on-site chef.
Summit Estate is east of Wildwood Park, about 15 miles from the residential recovery center, and about 15 minutes from downtown San Jose.
