Denver Recovery Center

295 Interlocken Blvd #400, Broomfield, Colorado, 80021
Denver Recovery Center is an addiction treatment center in Colorado that specializes in holistic and evidence-based treatment. At our rehab center, we believe treating substance addiction requires a full continuum of care that addresses the mind, body, and spirit. A person isn’t defined by their addiction, so why should their treatment be?

Facility Highlights

  • 15-Bed Facility
  • 2:1 Staff to Client Ratio
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Client & Family Support Groups

Group therapy is a vital component of addiction recovery treatment, considered as important and effective (sometimes even more so) than individual therapy. Benefits include reducing isolation and loneliness and providing the opportunity to learn from others in recovery. In the addiction setting, group therapy is run by trained professionals who guide participants toward a shared goal of recovery.
  • Family Program

Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.

Rehabs 360 Guide

Denver Recovery Center (DRC) opened in late 2017 to provide whole-person, evidence-based treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse and process addictions. Residential care is provided through luxury sober living facilities while clients attend long-term outpatient programming.

DRC prioritizes experiential, physical activities, integrating Colorado’s natural opportunities with traditional psychotherapy. The center is located in Broomfield, Colo., about a half-hour northeast of Denver. Referrals are provided to select local detox services.

Clients can expect to participate in a diverse treatment plan that incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-step principles, and an array of relaxing and recreational activities. With goals and practices tailored for each individual, Denver Recovery Center focuses the rehab process on helping clients develop mindfulness and manage stress.

Available treatment modalities also include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and trauma-oriented care through eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Some group sessions are gender-specific, and DRC bills itself as LGBT-friendly. Family counseling is also available.

Along with life skills training, programming includes anger management and nutritional education, yoga, and meditation. Clients also participate in a range of experiential therapies, including hiking, rafting, biking, and fishing.

Denver Recovery Center reports a 2:1 staff-to-client ratio. Many staff members are in recovery, and the treatment team features master’s-level counselors, case managers, licensed addiction counselors, and other addiction specialists.

The Denver Recovery Center’s sober living facility is located in a high-end residential neighborhood, affording privacy for clients. The multi-story, 15-bed residence offers some private bedrooms, a large and modern kitchen, and sophisticated, comfortable furnishings. Residents have access to 24/7 medical support.

To date, Rehabs.com has received feedback for Denver Recovery Center from three former clients. All expressed high satisfaction with the facility’s treatment, highlighting the staff’s professionalism, kindness, and support. "Very helpful when I called in for help. Caring and professional staff!" alum V.P. wrote.

Likewise on Google reviews, 12 individuals (a mix of alumni, loved ones, and staff) all awarded maximum five-star ratings for DRC. Alumni did not offer written commentary.[1]

The sole loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date shared alumni’s favorable perspectives on the center. They characterized staff as educated and reported that they gave “unconditional love.” They also echoed an alum and staffer, describing the facility beautiful. While noting that DRC supported families in recovery, L.D. also suggested a need for more holistic opportunities for loved ones.

On Google, one reviewer praised this facility for helping their friend become a better family member.

Staff feedback for DRC concurred with alumni’s emphasis on the professional and caring approach of fellow team members. All three employees polled by Rehabs.com cited individual attention to clients as a strength.

Denver Recovery Center accepts most private insurance coverage and offers some financing options, though not specified on the facility’s website at the time of this writing.

In early 2018 members of a local residential community expressed concerns about zoning for a new sober living home to be opened DRC in Broomfield. A March 2018, Broomfield Enterprise news story reported that the city did not plan to pursue action against the facility.
