ABOUT DENVER RECOVERY CENTER
Denver Recovery Center (DRC) opened in late 2017 to provide whole-person, evidence-based treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse and process addictions. Residential care is provided through luxury sober living facilities while clients attend long-term outpatient programming.
DRC prioritizes experiential, physical activities, integrating Colorado’s natural opportunities with traditional psychotherapy. The center is located in Broomfield, Colo., about a half-hour northeast of Denver. Referrals are provided to select local detox services.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Clients can expect to participate in a diverse treatment plan that incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-step principles, and an array of relaxing and recreational activities. With goals and practices tailored for each individual, Denver Recovery Center focuses the rehab process on helping clients develop mindfulness and manage stress.
Available treatment modalities also include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and trauma-oriented care through eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Some group sessions are gender-specific, and DRC bills itself as LGBT-friendly. Family counseling is also available.
Along with life skills training, programming includes anger management and nutritional education, yoga, and meditation. Clients also participate in a range of experiential therapies, including hiking, rafting, biking, and fishing.
Denver Recovery Center reports a 2:1 staff-to-client ratio. Many staff members are in recovery, and the treatment team features master’s-level counselors, case managers, licensed addiction counselors, and other addiction specialists.
