Rehabs 360 Guide

Kosher Sobriety, located in Boca Raton, Fla., offers residential and outpatient treatment to adult men struggling with addiction. The facility offers Jewish faith-based treatment based on the teachings of the Torah, but accepts both Jewish and non-Jewish individuals. Kosher Sobriety is also able to treat men with dual diagnoses in need of treatment for both substance abuse and mental illness.

To be admitted, clients may call the facility for a free, confidential phone assessment. Following the assessment, facility staff will determine the appropriate level of treatment for each individual. Kosher Sobriety can make referrals if detoxification or other medical interventions are needed, and can also coordinate transportation and/or escort from the airport if necessary. Treatment programs are available for that last for 30, 60, or 90 days. These treatment programs include Day/Night Treatment, a Partial Hospitalization Plan (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Relapse Prevention.

The facility’s treatment program seeks to provide holistic treatment using the 12-step method that includes “mind, body, and soul.” Kosher Sobriety’s approach seeks to eliminate outside distractions as they focus on reuniting each client with family, help them to return to work, and provide tools to engage with community and society in healthy ways.

Throughout treatment, clients receive individual and group therapy, clinical evaluations and drug screenings, regular psychiatric maintenance and support, recreational therapy, and relapse prevention education. The facility’s holistic approach extends to Individual therapy, which addresses a range of topics such as self evaluation, life and health, loved ones, shame, guilt, and forgiveness.

Families are welcome to be involved in the client’s recovery, and the facility works to keep family members informed of their loved one's’ progress through treatment. Families are welcome to visit clients during treatment two days a week for three hours at a time, although Kosher Sobriety may restrict visitors who are delaying or discouraging recovery.

In addition to offering “recovery through Torah,” Kosher Sobriety provides unique treatments and therapy including meditation and yoga, acupuncture, chiropractic and massage therapy, and group exercise.

The treatment team at Kosher Sobriety includes an addiction medicine specialist, a medical doctor, nursing staff, drug and alcohol counselors, and transitional counselors.
