ABOUT RECOVERY IN TUNE
Located in sunny Florida’s beachfront community of Fort Lauderdale, Recovery In Tune (RIT) provides treatment for indidivduals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders through a variety of structured outpatient services and sober living facilities for adults.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment is based on the 12-step model of recovery, and the center’s mission is to help its clients achieve “sobriety through inner harmony,” according to its website.
Along with its sober housing, RIT offers several levels of outpatient service for individuals seeking recovery. In the intensive outpatient (IOP) program, clients participate in structured programming sessions while still attending school or work. In the outpatient program, clients attend group and individual counseling once a week, in addition to education and recovery planning.
A specialized mental health IOP is also available for clients whose primary diagnosis is psychiatric, and special programs are tailored specifically for individuals struggling with an addiction to opiates/heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, alcohol, or prescription drugs.
At any level, these programs emphasize the 12-Steps, in addition to trauma recovery therapy and motivational training. The programs include weekly individual counseling, group therapy, family counseling (as needed), substance abuse education, relapse prevention, life skills training, spiritual groups, and non-verbal therapies (including art therapy, music therapy, mindfulness, and yoga). Medical and psychiatric services are provided as needed through consultation or referrals.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Most members of the RIT team are in recovery themselves, and some specialize in treating trauma. The center employs a marriage and family therapist along with a licensed mental health counselor.
