TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
All clients receive a psychosocial evaluation soon after arrival, allowing the clinical team to design the most appropriate individual treatment plan. Depending on their needs, clients may start on the detox unit, where they typically stay six days.
Overall, inpatient treatment can last from 30 to 90 days, as residents progress through three distinct phases on their path to recovery. Phase I focuses on stabilizing the client and forming a path to recovery. Phase II helps the client develop coping and life skills, while Phase III puts into practice new behaviors and sets of skills.
The program provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in individual, group, and family settings, as well as experiential work. Dynamic group sessions help participants safely explore and address their personal issues, with special attention given to treating unresolved trauma.
The Orchid Program also incorporates a range of holistic approaches, including acupuncture, art therapy, healing sound therapy, hypnotherapy, Tai Chi, yoga, and massage therapy. In addition, life skills therapy is available to teach women how to complete basic tasks without drugs or alcohol, and clients can access outside 12-step meetings for recovery. Fitness and nutritional counseling are also significant fixtures of the program.
Upon completion of the program, aftercare options may include intensive outpatient referrals, sober living placement, and referrals to community-based resources and 12-step meetings.
