River Oaks Treatment Center
When I got here I was so mad and angry at the world. I had a choice between prison or rehab and I really preferred to go to prison because all the horror stories I had heard about rehab. But my counselor opened my mind about rehab and I chose to come to River Oaks because of the relaxing environment. They treated me like a person when I came here, they treated every person like a human being and cared about everyone as an individual. My doctor Amisha Shah was the first doctor I ever met who really cared about how I felt. She asked me about my symptoms and did everything she could to help me. She actually gave me options and educated me on what my options were. She helped me make educated decisions about my medication and my treatment which gave me the choice and made me feel like a person. The client all greeted me when I got here. My Big Brother found me and asked me how I was doing and if I needed help. He smiled at me and I remember feeling like myself again and coming out of my shell. Juan the driver talked to me the whole way on the drive here. This was my first time in treatment and I was really scared. He was so welcoming and understanding and really helped me address my fears about treatment. The fact that he's in recovery really speaks highly of River Oaks because it shows they care about people in recovery. Tony and Dimitrius had amazing groups. They helped me learn skills I need to change and continue a better life, work on relationships with my family. I feel like I can have relationships again. When I first got here I felt so small, now I know I can have a better life and that I'm worth it and that I deserve this. I will never forget my experience here and have nothing but great things to say about my stay here. The facility was so beautiful, it was like passages Malibu. Any problem I had got addressed right away and I was treated like a person. I will tell all my friends about this place and I will never forget my experience at River Oaks.
Transformations Treatment Center
Transformations is a top notch program. I work in the addiction field in south florida and can verify everything they claim to offer. They go above and beyond for their clients. They make sure that everything they do is ethical and in the best interest of the client. Their accommodations are unbelievable, their housing is nicer than my apartment lol. They have a very small client to therapist ratio, i believe about 1 therapist to every 8 clients. They just built a recording studio their also and allow their musically inclined clients have an artistic outlet when groups aren\'t going on. I could write all day about the unbelievable services. From what I have seen, the only people that have bad things to say are the ones that do not want to fully accept the program.
