Great program. The staff helped me so much.The techs are all in recovery and they are very personable. They were always there to talk to me and give me advice when I was struggling. When there were a lot of people in there, you had to wait a while for your meds but I feel like that happens at a lot of centers. It happened at another one I went to too.
River Oaks Treatment Center
I love the Veterans Program at River Oaks, they have specialized classes for vets with people who have similar experiences as me. Therapist Brian facilitates the the veterans groups and openly shares his experiences. He is very direct and consistent which I truly need right now. I love that he has a good sense of humor and is very knowledgeable when it comes to matter of addiction and the disease of addiction plus how it effects people like me who have been in active duty. He offers great insight and keeps control o his classes. I've never seen a better Veterans program and would highly recommend.
Recovery Unplugged
Ya know I thought this music thing was a big joke when I first heard abour recovery unplugged. I couldn't have been more wrong. The reality is addict or non addict we all connect to different types to music. As an addict my biggest problem was learning how connect with myself and find my own identity. Recovery unplugged gave me opportunity to do just that. The living residence was great. It's right by the beach, they have a pool, and I got to use the phone!!!
