River Oaks Treatment Center
Randy, Marvin, Iyesha, Cecil, Michael and all the TAs are amazing. I could go on and on about the staff. Demetrius is great. They have all been very helpful and do whatever they need to do to help somebody. Demitrius groups were the best because he interacts with us. Trina and Amy were great too. Its very healing to hear from your peers. They give you good options to eat. There's plenty of walking area and plenty of things to do, you definitely don't get bored while your here. I played pool in the lounge and threw a football around. Where Im from you don't get to keep your phones or go to the candy store. Its kind of like your at home because they make you comfortable. I learned how to open up and humble myself. I also learned how to be honest and learn from other people. I worked on my anger while I was here and learned how to use my tools. I would definitely recommend River Oaks to someone who needs help. I was a little scared when I was coming here but after detoxing and getting out and about made me feel better. I hope I never have to come back but if I did, I would come here.
Coastal Detox
Dream Center for Recovery (DCR) worked wonders for me. I am currently one year sober and it's all due to DCR. DCR has taught me coping skills and how to make my life manageable again. The accommodations are nonetheless more than expected. Rooms are clean, pool is maintained, rec center / cafeteria cleaned. The chef onsite bakes everything. No fried food. If you're allergic to a certain food and / or are a vegetarian, Chef accommodates as much as possible. Every Sunday there's adventure therapy. You learn to live again without the need of alcohol or drugs. DCR tries to bring you back to normality as healthy as possible. I would and have already recommended DCR to people in need of recovery.
