ABOUT RECOVERY KEYS
Recovery Keys, located in Jacksonville, Fla. offers outpatient, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and a partial hospitalization program for adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The center operates two separate locations in Jacksonville and Saint Augustine, with outpatient detox (including Suboxone for opiate withdrawal) and medication management available on-site.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Prior to entering the Jacksonville program, all clients undergo a comprehensive evaluation. Based on the findings of this assessment, clients are placed in one of three programs designed for recovery. Those who enroll in day treatment, also known as the partial hospitalization program (PHP), meet five days a week for a total of 20 to 24 hours of weekly treatment. The program typically lasts four weeks. For intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), clients meet for about 10 hours per week for at least eight weeks.
All groups are 12-step based, abstinence-centered, and include individual, group, and family therapy, along with medication management if needed. Recovery Keys also offers holistic activities such as mindfulness, meditation, biofeedback, self-hypnosis, and yoga.
Educational groups are available on nutrition and exercise as well as psychoeducational groups, recreational therapy groups, dual diagnosis education, family education, and neurocognitive retraining. Medical staff may prescribe medications, including Suboxone, Librium, Naltrexone, and Campral, when deemed appropriate. It is one of 166 facilities in the state of Florida to offer Suboxone treatment.
Recovery Keys also offers family education groups and an aftercare and post-treatment monitoring program, which meets for one hour every week. According to the website, it’s common for program graduates to attend these meetings for years after leaving outpatient treatment, where they participate in group therapy, drug screening, individual therapy, and compliance reporting.
The treatment team at Recovery Keys includes the medical director, a board-certified addiction medicine M.D. a board-certified psychiatrist, a clinical psychologist, masters-level therapists, and a certified addictions counselor.
