Rehabs 360 Guide

Just Believe Recovery Center operates two facilities in Pennsylvania and two in Florida: a detox center in Port St. Lucie and this residential recovery center in nearby Jensen Beach, on Florida's southeastern coast. The facility at the address of this page offers residential treatment and both partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs, services which are provided at just 29.2, 24.6, and 43 percent of facilities in Florida, respectively. The center serves both men and women, and can accommodate dually diagnosed individuals.

The program at Just Believe is a traditional multidisciplinary offering that combines counseling utilizing evidence-based methodologies with off-site 12-step attendance and a variety of holistic therapies. The center also emphasizes its commitment to individualized care.

Just Believe offers therapy in individual, group, and family settings. These sessions aim to uncover and treat any underlying mental health disorders, most often through medication management and behavioral therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Clinicians also provide eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to address past traumas, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), a modality that’s used by only 56.1 percent of facilities in Florida.

In addition to counseling and therapy, clients participate in psychoeducational groups, in which they learn about the nature of addiction and recovery. The center’s holistic offerings include meditation, music and art therapies, chiropractic therapy, and amino acid therapy, a unique method designed to rebalance the body’s chemistry.

The PHP meets for a minimum of six hours a day, five days a week, and uses the same modalities as the residential program. Typically used as a transitional option for those stepping down from residential care, the IOP focuses on helping clients adapt to life after treatment. Participants benefit from career coaching and job skills and practice recognizing triggers and developing coping strategies. Just Believe can also refer IOP clients to nearby sober living facilities.

Just Believe employs a board-certified psychiatrist and a number of therapists, some of whom with master’s level degrees. According to its website, the facility is also accredited by the Joint Commission, a designation given to just 30.4 percent of all Florida treatment facilities. To date, the 41 individuals polled by Rehabs.com on the matter approved of the aptitude of staff.

Just Believe can accommodate up to 113 clients, some of them in private bedrooms, in two gender-separate houses. The men’s residence, which overlooks the Indian River and is known as Beach House, has an outdoor pool, a large yard, and a spacious patio with a thatched roof.

The Walton Pool House, the women's property, also offers an outdoor pool and a yard. Recreational and social activities include exercise and massage therapy and 12-step yoga. The 43 individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date appreciated the facility's upkeep and amenities.

Elsewhere, clients noted a lack of food options, and in more serious instances, a handful indicated that the center was more interested in money than in helping people, and isolated alumni cited staff “on a power trip” as well as unsanitary conditions. "The WORST place ever. Dirty, disgusting, LOUD, small smelly," S.E.W. wrote.

Like alumni, the majority of loved ones polled by Rehabs.com to date reported positive treatment experiences. The four polled on the facility’s offerings across a variety of treatment metrics applauded the amount of family participation and holistic offerings.

He had been to another facility twice before that, but your program gave him the personal counseling and the nurturing he needed to get back on his feet,” A.S.B. wrote in one such review. Some commended the staff for maintaining close contact with them throughout their loved one’s treatment.
