Located in Naples, Fla., this treatment facility is one of five residential treatment facilities operated by the nationally renowned Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. This center is one of the 195 (29.2 percent) of Florida treatment facilities that provides residential treatment services. In addition, outpatient care, and structured sober living facilities are available for adults who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Located less than a mile from Florida’s beaches Gulf Coast, Hazelden Naples also offers dedicated programming for adults over 50.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

According to Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's website, treatment begins with an assessment conducted over the phone or in person. Length of stay varied based on need, and treatment and lodgings are gender-specific. Treatment is abstinence-based.

Inpatient clients benefit from the support and structure of living on-campus while attending 12-step meetings both on and off-site. Following their own customized treatment plans, clients take part in a curriculum complete with individual and group therapy, educational lectures, and special-focus groups. Beyond this core program, integrated mental health may include psychiatric consultations, medication management, and family therapy. Families are invited for free weekly support group and educational sessions.

For adults over 50, dedicated residential and outpatient programs consist of discussions on issues related to family, career, health, and more, as well as guest speakers on finding recovery later in life.

Featuring similar evidence-based support and 12-step programming, Hazelden also offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that takes place from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, and an intensive outpatient (IOP) program that runs weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Post-treatment, clients may receive aftercare that includes 12-step retreats, web- and phone-based coaching, monitoring services, family guidance, and more.
