River Oaks Treatment Center
River Oaks has made a profound impact on my life. My struggle with alcohol had become dominant over my life and deadly at many times. When i arrived i was greeted with compassion and understanding. Clinical staff provided the proper medicines to me that kept me safe through a rather difficult withdrawaling detox. All staff played a part in making me feel comfortable, safe, and worthy as a human being. The group therapy classes taught me to discover myself in a deeper level of understanding of my weaknesses, strengths, character defects, and values. I learned both behavioral(cognative and dialectic)skills and science of the brain and body that comes along with substance use/abuse. I attended AA/NA meetings on campus and was able to find a sponsor to work the steps. I was provided healthy balanced meals with plenty of opportunity for exercise with a gym, basketball and tennis courts, and volleyball and kickball fields. Administration is open and listens to peoples needs to accommodate to us. I am very happy to have come to River Oaks for I am a wiser, happier, healthier, and confident person now. Thank you River Oaks!

I entered as mental health resident. Cleanliness, staff, and food excellent! Therapists are beyond amazing! I was threatened with physical harm by detox resident and was made to feel it was my fault. I left after only 8 days fearing for my safety.
